The hard-nosed, cynical, devout population of 518 million Repustrionians are ruled without fear or favor by a psychotic dictator, who outlaws just about everything and refers to the populace as "my little playthings."

The large, corrupt, socially-minded, well-organized government juggles the competing demands of Defense, Law & Order, and Administration. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Snakeven. The average income tax rate is 73.0%, and even higher for the wealthy.

The private sector mostly consists of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, but the government is looking at stamping this out. Average income is an impressive 113,418 Nyaganese, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Exterminator companies deploy nerve gas in turf wars, Repustrionian military drills look more like joint-Paladin Astralblitz exercises than anything else, the government enforces a policy of 'from each according to their ability, to each according to the available budget', and the government subsidizes everything from particle physics to fabric softeners. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a very well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Repustrion's national animal is the Snakes, which is also the nation's favorite main course.
