The State of Reedman is a titanic, socially progressive nation, notable for its irreverence towards religion. The hard-working, democratic population of 15.188 billion Reedmanians enjoy a sensible mix of personal and economic freedoms, while the political process is open and the people's right to vote held sacrosanct.

The relatively small government juggles the competing demands of Education, Welfare, and Healthcare. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Columbia Heights. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 12.3%.

The strong Reedmanian economy, worth 890 trillion betales a year, is fairly diversified and led by the Gambling industry, with major contributions from Furniture Restoration, Pizza Delivery, and Automobile Manufacturing. Average income is 58,651 betales, but there is a significant disparity between incomes, with the richest 10% of citizens earning 188,190 per year while the poor average 13,860, a ratio of 13.6 to 1.

Employers may fire workers without giving any reason, the latest Harry Potter book is a bestseller, surveillance cameras are banned, and Reedman has designated Columbia Heights as its capital city. Crime is moderate, with the police force struggling against a lack of funding and a high mortality rate. Reedman's national animal is the deer, which can occasionally be seen sifting through garbage in the nation's cities.

Reedman is ranked 252,346^th in the world and 1^st in the Republic of Malawi for Most Advanced Law Enforcement, scoring 868.02 on the Orwell Orderliness Index.
