The hard-nosed, hard-working, humorless population of 26.585 billion Ravans are either ruled by a sleek, efficient government or a conglomerate of multinational corporations; it's difficult to tell which.

The tiny, corrupt, pro-business government juggles the competing demands of Education, Defense, and Industry. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Stahlengrätz. Income tax is unheard of.

The frighteningly efficient Ravastrian economy, worth an astonishing 13,651 trillion Rieks a year, is driven almost entirely by the private sector, which is broadly diversified and led by the Information Technology industry, with significant contributions from Arms Manufacturing, Retail, and Uranium Mining. Average income is a breathtaking 513,507 Rieks, but there is a large disparity between incomes, with the richest 10% of citizens earning 1,970,571 per year while the poor average 92,255, a ratio of 21.4 to 1.

The nation's prisons are touted as the best weight loss programs money can't buy, the government's policy is 'all pain, no grain', governments opposing Ravastria are beset by rebels, and trick-or-treaters and circus clowns have been arrested under suspicion of being renegade vigilantes. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown. Ravastria's national animal is the Orca, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to heavy metals seepage into national waterways.
