The Hawk of Jade2 is a colossal, safe nation, notable for its barren, inhospitable landscape. The quiet, industrious population of 2.945 billion Jade2ians have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

The medium-sized government prioritizes Welfare, although Education, Law & Order, and Defense are also considered important. The average income tax rate is 29.0%, but much higher for the wealthy.

The large but inefficient Jade2ian economy, worth 108 trillion lire a year, is fairly diversified and led by the Woodchip Exports industry, with significant contributions from Cheese Exports, Book Publishing, and Uranium Mining. State-owned companies are reasonably common. Average income is 36,765 lire, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

High-income earners pay a 100% tax rate, education and welfare spending are on the rise, all tariffs have been abolished, and citizens can only enjoy the splendor of the natural world in designated 'Majesty Appreciation' zones. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to a capable police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Jade2's national animal is the cobra, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation.

Jade2 is ranked 226,557^th in the world and 136^th in Darkest Skies for Largest Black Market, with 306 billion Standard Monetary Units.
