The Dear Leader of Gest II is a titanic, orderly nation, ruled by Gest with an iron fist, and remarkable for its enslaved workforce, prohibition of alcohol, and punitive income tax rates. The hard-nosed, cynical, humorless population of 22.717 billion Gestists are ruled without fear or favor by a psychotic dictator, who outlaws just about everything and refers to the populace as "my little playthings."

The large, corrupt, moralistic, well-organized government prioritizes Defense, although Industry, Education, and Healthcare are also considered important, while Welfare receives no funds. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Gestodar. The average income tax rate is 97.8%.

The frighteningly efficient Gestist economy, worth a remarkable 7,091 trillion Dollars a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. However, for those in the know, there is an enormous, deeply entrenched, fairly diversified black market in Arms Manufacturing, Uranium Mining, Woodchip Exports, and Basket Weaving. The private sector mostly consists of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, but the government is looking at stamping this out. Average income is an amazing 312,180 Dollars, and evenly distributed, with the richest citizens earning only 2.8 times as much as the poorest.

Policemen regularly conduct midnight raids on closed donut shops to 'collect evidence', naturists are jailed regularly for indecent exposure, the once prosperous capital is in utter decline, and when people ask what the difference is between politicians and lawyers they are referred to document c15(iv) section 14.1 subsection 3.2 of the Jan 2015 political category definition guidance codes. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, despite the fact that it is difficult to make it through a day without breaking one of the country's many laws. Gest II's national animal is the Condor, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to toxic air pollution, and its national religion is Gestism.

Gest II is ranked 330,852nd in the world and 97th in The Invaders for Largest Publishing Industry, scoring -19.19 on the Bella Potter Productivity e-Index.
