The Federal Republic of FYS is a mammoth, pleasant nation, remarkable for its burgeoning Kitsune population. The hard-working population of 5.551 billion FYSians have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

The medium-sized government juggles the competing demands of Defense, Law & Order, and Healthcare. The average income tax rate is 22.4%.

The FYSian economy, worth 223 trillion Delta Eagles a year, is led by the Retail industry, with major contributions from Door-to-door Insurance Sales, Trout Farming, and Book Publishing. Average income is 40,192 Delta Eagles, and evenly distributed, with the richest citizens earning only 3.6 times as much as the poorest.

Crime is relatively low, thanks to a capable police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. FYS's national animal is the Kitsune.

FYS is ranked 94,345^th in the world and 2^nd in The SCP Foundation for Most Rebellious Youth, scoring zero on the Stark-Dean Displacement Index.
