The large, corrupt, moralistic government juggles the competing demands of Defense, Law & Order, and Administration. The average income tax rate is 68.8%, and even higher for the wealthy.

The frighteningly efficient Forest MTGian economy, worth 325 trillion Manas a year, is fairly diversified and dominated by the Arms Manufacturing industry, with significant contributions from Information Technology, Furniture Restoration, and Uranium Mining. Black market activity is extensive. State-owned companies are common. Average income is an impressive 108,568 Manas, and evenly distributed, with the richest citizens earning only 2.8 times as much as the poorest.

Being nicknamed "Orange Face" has done Leader's credibility no favours, crops are flattened as farmers bludgeon insects to death, people are careful to avoid hyperbolising that they'd "rather die" than support Leader, and a large-scale revitalization of the education system is underway.
