The State of Einem is a gargantuan, orderly nation, renowned for its complete lack of prisons, compulsory military service, and absence of drug laws. The hard-working, cynical population of 37.478 billion Einemians are rabid consumers, partly through choice and partly because the government tells them to and dissenters tend to vanish from their homes at night.

The tiny, pro-business, well-organized government juggles the competing demands of Industry, Defense, and Environment. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Capital Heights. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 8.7%.

The thriving Einemian economy, worth a remarkable 1,710 trillion betales a year, is led by the Trout Farming industry, with major contributions from Book Publishing, Soda Sales, and Beef-Based Agriculture. Average income is 45,635 betales, but there is a significant disparity between incomes, with the richest 10% of citizens earning 139,407 per year while the poor average 11,579, a ratio of 12.0 to 1.

Elections have been outlawed and Einem has designated Capital Heights as its capital city. Crime is a serious problem, perhaps because of the country's complete lack of prisons. Einem's national animal is the deer.

Einem is ranked 203,375^th in the world and 211^th in State for Most Eco-Friendly Governments, scoring 300.33 on the Dolphin Recycling Awareness Index.
