Government
*Autocracy
"The nation does not hold democratic elections."
All the political power is held by the Colonel and controls every aspect of the nation. Of course his almighty power is still truly infinitely inferior compared to DEAREST LEADER's.

*Theocracy
"Worship of the official state religion is mandatory."
Every dandelerian has to be a member of the CULT of DEAREST LEADER from the birth, and has to pray thrice a day. Failing to comply will lead to IMMEDIATE DISAPPEARANCE.
Also all laws are inspired from DEARESTLEADERISM.

*Monarchy
"The special status of a royal family is enshrined in law."
The king Theodoro the second and his family have a special, honorific status compared to the plebs and slaves in regards of oppression. Still the royal family have absolutely ZERO influence on current affairs and politics.

*State Press
"Only state-controlled media is permitted."
There is only one newspaper in the kiosks, named 'la Gazeta', which praises the actions of the Colonel and the benefits of DEARESTLEADERISM.
The TV broadcasting is heavily elaborated by the State.
There are currently three channels available and use the cable technology for programme delivering. There are no ads and no licence fees. But the possession of a tv set requires a specific permission from the State. Usually using nepotism or bribing the officials is the way to go.
Radio broadcasting is illegal, as the Colonel forbids all types of wireless transmission.

*No Dissent
"Public protests are illegal."
Firing squads eliminate the political dissents. There are no rights to go on strike.

*Pledge of Allegiance
"The daily singing of an anthem or reciting of a pledge is compulsory in schools."
If the pupil is sick, (s)he will be required to sing from home. As all citizens are monitored, failing to comply will bring a law enforcer to the door and put the student in a rehab unit.

Society
*Permanent Marriage
"Divorce is illegal."
Self-explaining. In case of spouse death, the remaining member (widow) can't remarry.

*Heterosexuality
"Same-sex relationships are illegal."
LGBTQ rights are not recognized. All deviants will be sent in a rehab init.

*No Adultery
"Adultery is prohibited by law."
It is punishable at the same level as treason. Death penalty and torture will follow.

*No Contraception
"Contraception is illegal."
No need to elaborate this further, for the great benefit to the Dandelerian demographics. We need more plebs and slaves.

*No Abortion
"Abortion is illegal."
According to the Colonel's beliefs, abortion is meant as a way to escape from torture and slavery.

*Compulsory Organ Harvesting
"Citizens have no say in the medical use of their bodies after death."
No exceptions. Even diseased bodies will be used for study and some parts will be recycled to make items like soap or soylent green nutrients.

*Vegetarianism
"Vegetarianism is compulsory."
Or rather, meat is only accessible for officials. It is frequent to see plebs collecting grass in the streets for a dish.

*Parental Licensing
"Citizens must acquire a license in order to have children. "
Part of a former eugenics programme, but it has been toned down recently. Unregistered children are declared orphans by default and are sent under the Children Wings of the State.

*Body Integrity
"Citizens may not pierce their bodies nor circumcize their children."
All body modifications are illegal. People with significant dysmorphism or visible tumors are shunned from society.
As for tattoos, they are used to recognize former rehab 'patients' . Usually comes with a non healable skin damage or AIDS.

*Prudism
"Strict modesty laws govern how citizens may dress."
All men are required to wear khaki or black pants with white camiseta. Colorful camisetas will be perceived as degenerate. Officers will questionate the offender.
All women must wear pastel coloured dress. The length of fabric must exceed the knee.
In some cities, officers may be a bit more lenient about vestimentary code violations.

*No Sports
"Physical contact sports are prohibited."
But sports like football, lifting, gymnastics or athletics are greatly encouraged by state propaganda.

*No Smoking
"Smoking is prohibited, even in private."
Possession of tobacco is punishable by death penalty.

*No Zoos
"Animals may not be kept in confinement."
An Animal is seen to have a greater value than all the plebs regrouped.

Law & Order
*Capital Punishment
"Citizens may be executed for crimes."
No modern methods available. As a result, capital punishment in Dandeleria is one of the most barbaric in the World.

*Corporal Punishment
"Criminals may be ordered to undergo physical punishment."
Public floggings are used for common petty crimes like spitting on the pavement or disposing garbage in the wrong container.

*Human Sacrifice
"Religious sacrifice of human beings is legal."

*Conscription
"A period of military service is compulsory for all citizens."
Mandatory for all 12 to 14 year old, boys and girls.
Can be prolonged indefinitely if the subject has extraordinary fighting skills, which happens often.

*No Judiciary
"The nation has abolished the court system."
The Supreme Court is not accessible for plebs and lower officials.

*Gun Control
"Citizens are forbidden from owning firearms."
A flashlight is also considered as a firearm to the Dandelerian legislation and is illegal.

*Curfew
"The nation enforces a national curfew."
20.00 : no children below 20 should be outside
21.00 : blackouts start around the central city
22.00 : no adult permitted outside
23.00 : blackout extended to central city

*State Surveillance
"The state heavily monitors citizen behavior and communication."
Through the TV receiver, all citizen who have a TV set is being filmed and listened. A surveillance committee of 2000000 men watch every Dandelerian, 24/7.

*DNA Harvesting
"Citizen DNA must be submitted to the state."

Economy
*Socialism
"Industry is owned and run by the government in a centrally planned economy."
The Central Planning Committee is following the Juche ideals to the economy.

*Maternity Leave
"Women receive paid leave from employment for childbirth."
Only for officials and higher ranked executives.

*No Computers
"Computers are banned."
Only high ranked officials may have access to computers and it requires a special permission. May be exposed in stores, but are not functional, and pratically noone could afford (a plebeian mid class worker will need to work for 265 years to afford a macbook replica, which costs 5 billion narlas).

*No Internet
"Citizens may not connect to the Internet."
The officials may have "internet" access in which is in reality a big intranet or a government portal. As radio signals are illegal, there is no 3G nor public wifi, so it makes every smartphone unusable.

*No Drugs
"All recreational drugs are prohibited."
Recreational is the stop word.

*No Automobiles
"Cars are banned."
Restricted to highly ranked officials. As the oil and electricity embargoes are under effect, all cars are required to have pedals that use human forces as backup engine. For that reason the officials usually use slaves to make the cars moving.

*Slavery
"Slavery is legal."
No need to explain this.

*Prohibition
"Alcohol is banned."
There are rumors of an existence of a gigantic black market selling illegal goods incl. Drugs and booze.

*Autarky
"The nation pursues a policy of economic self-sufficiency."
This creates episodic famine throughout the nation. A hungry population is easier to control.

*No Gambling
"Gambling is illegal."
But it's a well known fact that one of the Colonel's sons, Alejandro, loves to tour casinos in east Asia.

*No Video Games
"Computer games are banned."
That includes consoles of course, but also board games.

*No Nuclear Power
"Nuclear power generation is prohibited."
But manufacturing of nukes is secretly covered by the State.

*No Aircraft
"Aircraft are banned."

International
*Weapons of Mass Destruction
"The nation claims the legal right to use WMDs."
Tests of ICBMs are regularly conducted by the Army, in spite of the International Community.

*Climate Treaty
"The nation is a signatory to an international climate treaty."
The environment is a treasure.

*No Immigration
"Foreigners cannot become residents."

*No Emigration
"Citizens are not permitted to leave."
Landmines and drones are deployed on the borders. If a fugitive is caught near the dmz, he will face torture and death.
