A Brief History

The kingdom of Cunnickia as a whole is very complex and difficult country to wrap your head around particularly when it comes to history of the country. The first evidence of a Cunnickian country was back in 470 BC when when several tribes of people decided to ban together and create a settlement. This prooved to be rather popular and quickly grew, and before long they were running a full on country.

Also the brains behind the idea of the new settlement Ahearn De Charlemagne the first decided to to instate himself as leader. Once the settlement turned into a country Ahearn took full control of his new country's resources and proclaimed himself king and and created the Charlemagne dynasty that still rules to this day.

Cunnickia's rescorces back then mainly consisted of food land and a few villages here and there. Using the new resources the country of Charlemagnia (later changed it's name to Cunnickia named after the high population of Cunnickian tribes originally living there) became very advanced and very powerful and the Charlemagne dynasty also became more and more powerful and soon it was time to expand borders.

At this point, the year is 945 AD and the current monarch at the time Harold De Charlemagne the third wanted more land and so he started a war with the neighboring nations and it eventually backfired. In the end, Harold was quickly killed off and his son Harold the fourth took over and he put an end to the disastrous war. Nowadays that war is unofficially known as Harold's War.

In the years that followed the country and the sorronding area stabilised and was peaceful for several hundred years. This has come to be known as the prosperity age. During this time many things and traditions that Cunnickia is well known of today began at this time and still continue to this day. Several national holidays like National Cheese Day held every June the forth is a national bank holiday

( where people celebrate cheese and would participate in several cheese related events in the square of the capital city ( Now called Charlemagnia ) and many fancy stalls would spring up everywhere in the country all for national cheese day. )
