The Democratic Republic of Belarussiya is a tiny, orderly nation, renowned for its compulsory military service, irreverence towards religion, and complete absence of social welfare. The hard-nosed, cynical population of 12 million Belarussiyans are ruled with an iron fist by the dictatorship government, which ensures that no-one outside the party gets too rich. In their personal lives, however, citizens are relatively unoppressed; it remains to be seen whether this is because the government genuinely cares about its people, or if it hasn't gotten around to stamping out civil rights yet.

The large, well-organized government juggles the competing demands of Defense, Law & Order, and Public Transport. The average income tax rate is 40.7%, but much higher for the wealthy.

The Belarussiyan economy, worth 369 billion Rubles a year, is quite specialized and led by the Information Technology industry, with major contributions from Beef-Based Agriculture, Arms Manufacturing, and Pizza Delivery. State-owned companies are common. Average income is 30,800 Rubles, and evenly distributed, with the richest citizens earning only 2.1 times as much as the poorest.

Crime, especially youth-related, is almost non-existent, thanks to a very well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Belarussiya's national animal is the Eastern Eagle.
