With a population of ten residents, A Small Rock Off Maowi declared independence from Maowi on April 2 2020 in protest of a new law imposing stringent regulations on the depositing of cheese into the sea, which is the basis for a popular Small-Rock-Off-Maowese sport. Its government consists of a council of five members which meets twice a week in Mrs Bradypus' flat to discuss matters of state.

The new nation-state boasts a beautiful diversity of plants and animals. Unfortunately, it struggles to support itself economically and relies heavily on foreign aid from Maowi.
