The Kingdom of 3arth is a colossal, safe nation, ruled by Toots with an iron fist, and remarkable for its barren, inhospitable landscape, compulsory military service, and restrictive gun laws. The hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 3.539 billion 3arthians are kept under strict control by the oppressive government, which measures its success by the nation's GDP and refers to individual citizens as "human resources."

The medium-sized, moralistic, well-organized government juggles the competing demands of Defense, Law & Order, and Education. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 27.2%.

The strong 3arthian economy, worth 154 trillion Gold coins a year, is led by the Book Publishing industry, with major contributions from Uranium Mining, Automobile Manufacturing, and Information Technology. Average income is 43,585 Gold coins, but there is a significant disparity between incomes, with the richest 10% of citizens earning 124,382 per year while the poor average 12,174, a ratio of 10.2 to 1.

Unpopular cops are fired at a moment's notice by the citizens they police, discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation is illegal, high school boys are required to pass vigorous self-mastery and sensitivity training to graduate, and Toots has just been declared ruler of 3arth in an international press conference. Crime, especially youth-related, is almost non-existent, thanks to a well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. 3arth's national animal is the Lion turtle, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to heavy metals seepage into national waterways.

3arth is ranked 295,114^th in the world and 5^th in Yanxi for Highest Drug Use, scoring 20.12 on the Pineapple Fondness Rating.
