Is this region set on earth or in its own reality, I'm sorry if the map description explains it I didn't understand? Sorry.

The Western Isles, like many regions, ...

In all seriousness though, you’re fine to have connections to the Real World up until 1945 but you’re encouraged to have a history focused on, and tied with members of, the region at large.

You might say those lyrics are fire but I would say they are positively elemental.

So I just had a thought about Alteran Republics’s Citizen Social Score and how it can be used.

Simply, I’m pretty spooked at what can be done with it.

One such thing that can be done with it that hasn’t yet been mentioned is how it’s possible to use it in conjunction with Alteran Indentured Servitude to create an entire class of people in perpetual service as their score can be tied against their service. And it’s entirely legal too. The important thing to note about this is since these contracts must render “a specific payment or other benefit”, I believe that an increase in social score can be one such benefit, possibly even at the expense of a reduced paycheck (if any at all).

At the moment I’m just thinking of a whole community of people in the slums of a major city, unable to escape their condition because their score would decrease if they didn’t have a job, which would be impossible to find with their score as it is, while also making travel prohibitavely expensive again due to the score. And with the new government that’s clearly under the control of Horizion Inc. and partners in transition, I could imagine how easy it would be for the new government to create a whole generation of propaganda-devouring slaves deeply loyal and hard-working citizens at basically no expense.

Dude, spoilers ...

The IS you speak of are rarely used, but used enough that they are regulated and protect its users. It's a complete voluntary transaction that usually is mutually beneficial to both parties (some more than others).

The creation of slums of not what we want. Slums are a product of low productivity and allow for increased rebelious attitudes, not ideal ... Better to get citizens to be wealthy and productive, but subtly guide their way of thinking and encourage "good" behaviour.

Nice thoughts though, I like it.

Bracebpelma Dolvulcus Fieryei
Fire Wasp Spider

Conservation Status
Not Threatened

Classification
Kingdom: Animalia
Phylum: Arthropoda
Class: Arachnida
Order: Araneae
Family: Theraphosidae
Genus: Bracebpelma
Species: b. Dolvulcus Fieryei

Habitat:
  • Ruios,
    Central and Southern Regions

The Fire Wasp Spider (Bracebpelma Dolvulcus Fieryei ) is a tarantula species native to Ruios. It is the only species in the genus Bracebpelma. The Fire Wasp Spider is the only tarantula species known in the world to be highly venomous to humans. The Fire Wasp Spider can grow up to 20 cm in leg span. It is a slow-growing species. The spider is typically dark colored with bright red legs and a orange/black body . As a burrowing species, the back legs are very thick and used for digging burrows. Despite it having a highly venomous bite to humans, it is popular among tarantula collectors for it's vibrant coloration, however there are very strict export laws for the spider from Ruios due to it's toxicity and it's usually only permitted for export to Animal Parks, Zoos or Zoological centers. The spider is highly defensive and completely not suitable for beginner spider keepers. The venom has been likened to that of ten Fire Wasps collectively, hence the name; a bite from a baby (1 cm body length) of this species caused a spider keeper to lose his entire hand and was admitted to hospital for several weeks with life threatening Toxic Shock.

Description and Identification.
The Fire Wasp spider is a burrowing spider. It puts silk at the burrow's entrance to detect vibrations. These spiders hunt beetles, cockroaches, and other spiders, although they can kill mice, lizards, snakes, and birds. Like most tarantulas, the Fire Wasp Spider has urticating hairs, and can be very defensive. When provoked, they rear up, and strike down repeatedly. This is one of only a few theraphosid spiders that can stridulate as a major defense mechanism. The stridulation sound effect is produced by rubbing the femurs of the first and second pair of legs, which, when combined with rearing up, produces a formidable defense. The Fire Wasp spider has very little in the way of predators; large birds have been known to try and grab the spiders but this extremely rare due to the spiders excellent defensive capabilities.

Distribution and Habitat
The natural habitat of the species is in hilly deciduous forests. It constructs or extends burrows under logs, rocks and tree roots, among thorny shrubs and tall grass.

The burrows were described in 1999 by a scientist exploring the Fire Wasp Spiders in the wild. The deep burrows keep them protected from any possible predators, and enable them to ambush passing prey. The females spend the majority of their lives in their burrows, which are typically located in, or not far from, vegetation and consist of a single entrance with a tunnel leading to one or two chambers. The entrance is just slightly larger than the body size of the spider. The tunnel, usually about three times the tarantula's leg span in length, leads to a chamber which is large enough for the spider to safely molt. Further down the burrow, via a shorter tunnel, a larger chamber is located where the spider rests and eats its prey. When the tarantula needs privacy, e.g. when molting or laying eggs, the entrance is sealed with silk, sometimes supplemented with soil and leaves.

Behaviour
Like most tarantulas, they kick urticating hairs from their abdomens and their back legs if disturbed, although the Fire Wasp Spider is different in that it's extreme aggressive nature and temperament will cause it to attack first and bite into it's prey or attacker, often biting multiple times. The Spider will give no warning, (usually arching itself into a defensive posture) and will attack regardless of the threat it faces, it's venom toxicity is so high, it is responsible for around 800 human deaths a year.

Human Interaction

VENOM
Fire Wasp spider venom contains a compound known as atracotoxin, an ion channel inhibitor, which makes the venom highly toxic for humans and other primates. However, it does not affect the nervous system of other mammals. These spiders typically deliver a full envenomation when they bite, often striking repeatedly, due to their defensiveness and large chitinous cheliceral fangs. There is no distinction of envenoming by female Fire Wasp spiders, which is consistent with the finding that both sexes are equally venomous. In the case of severe envenomation, the time to onset of symptoms is less than 15 minutes, with a study about the spider bites finding a median time of 20 minutes. There is several recorded cases of people dying within 5 minutes of a bite from a Fire Wasp spider.

SYMPTOMS
The bite of a Fire Wasp Spider is extremely painful, with clear fang marks separated by several millimeters. The size of fangs is responsible for the initial pain. Typical bite symptoms include: Muscle Paralysis, Rotting Flesh, Nausea, Vomiting, Breathing Difficulties, Dizziness, Cardiac Arrest, Coma, Death.
