Though I haven't thought much about it, I've always entertained the idea of the SG£ being stupidly inflated. Expect something in the 20-30 sg£ to the US$-range
Members states of the United Commonwealths are among the world's wealthiest and most successful economies. They have a common economic and social model that combines a market-based mixed economy with a comprehensive welfare state and multi-level collective bargaining. The Alteran model is characterized by relatively small wage gaps, high employment, high taxation, accessible education and social security, and strong societal cohesion and sense of community.
The main industrial sectors of the United Commonwealths' economy are services, manufacturing, energy, and agriculture. Services account for the largest share of GDP and employment in all five countries, especially in areas such as finance, trade, transport, health care, education, and public administration. Manufacturing is also a significant contributor to GDP and exports, with industries such as machinery, electronics, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, vehicles, and food processing. Energy is another important sector, especially in western territories, which have abundant natural resources such as oil, gas, hydroelectricity, and geothermal power. Agriculture is a relatively small sector in terms of GDP and employment, but it plays a vital role in ensuring food security and rural development.
The unemployment rate in the United Commonwealths remains steadily low - but can be affected by seasons of extreme weather or economic turmoil. However, it generally remains below the Argus average due to active labour market policies that aim to facilitate job creation and job matching, as well as to provide income support and training for the unemployed. The United Commonwealths also have high labour force participation rates, especially among women and older workers.
The taxation levels in the United Commonwealths countries are among the lowest in the world. They reflect the low overall public spending; but invests heavily in the mechanisms then enable a strong free-market; namely infrastructure, defence and security, and the Universal Basic Income. These systems of economic transfers that aim to reduce poverty and inequality, promote social mobility and inclusion, and enhance human capital and well-being. The UC tax systems are based on the principles of progressivity, efficiency, simplicity, and transparency. They rely mainly on income taxes (both personal and corporate), value-added taxes (VAT), social security contributions, and environmental taxes.
In Altera, the local currency is known as the Puint and is identified by its unique symbol; the Puint (₽). The Puint is widely considered a stable currency, with $1 IAD approximately valued at ₽1.2 UCP.
Altera has enjoyed consistent growth in most areas of its economy for the past several decades. In 2019, the country's economy grew by 1.7% and is expected to exceed 2.2% growth by the end of 2020.
Gross Domestic Product, more commonly referred to as GDP, is a standard method of measuring a nation's wealth. Altera's GDP, as of 2020, was measure at ₽1,145 billion (approximately $1,375 billion), making it one of the consistently strongest economies in the region.
Employed citizens and civilians are all granted a tax-free allowance. This means that they do not pay any income tax on the first ₽20,000 ($24,000 IAD) they earn.
Studies constantly show that the tax-free allownace - coupled with the Universal Basic Income is the best method of stimulating financial growth.
Altera has some of the lowest tax rates within Northern Argus and, arguably, in the whole region. Citizens and civilians only pay:
‣ 5.0% on incomes upto ₽30,000 ($36,000 IAD) ‣ 8.0% on incomes upto ₽60,000 ($48,000 IAD) ‣ 12.5% on incomes upto ₽100,000 ($120,000 IAD) ‣ 17.5% on incomes above ₽100,000 ($120,000 IAD)
To keep Altera's high commercial success, it is important that business keep costs down. Altera's low business rates enable for a continued growth of jobs and prosperity.
‣ 5.0% on profits upto ₽250,000 ($300,000 IAD) ‣ 10.0% on profits upto ₽1,000,000 ($1,200,000 IAD) ‣ 12.5% on profits above ₽1,000,000 ($1,200,000 IAD)
It is difficult to please everyone regarding inflation rates. Some banks and businesses like high inflation; whereas the average consumer wants low inflation.
Altera's Central Bank helps to monitor and regulate the rate of inflation, keeping it at a consistent 0.4% over the last six months of 2019.
Since the livre was converted to the franc and the value of the franc when converted to the euro was 6.55957 francs = 1 euro. The euro is worth $1.09 today which would convert to one livre = $0.166 or 6 livre to a dollar, which could then be divided into 20 sols if you want to stick to ancient French monies.
Here is a list of the established currencies and the value of those listed, those missing please let me know the name of your currency and /or value. Thanks.
The various nations of The Western Isles each have their own currency which has many different values. This can be confusing in determining the value of your money in relation to money of other countries. To deal with this problem the league using various means established a unit of account called the Island Accounting Dollar (IAD). How to use: to determine the value of another countries value in your currency then divide your currency's IAD value by the other nations IAD value (exp. An Ioudaian is going on vacation in Domanania and wants to convert his drachmas to traks. The bank takes the value of the drachma divides it by trak (2.00/.00926) equals 215.983. If our traveler wants to convert 5,000 drachmas he will get 1,079,915 traks.) If wanting to find out how foreign money is valued to your currency, divide their currency's value by your on. (exp. The Ioudanian traveler has 250,000 traks left and wants to reconvert it back to drachmas. The bank divides the value of the trak by the value of the drachma (0.00926/2.00) and comes up with 0.00463. To convert the 250,000 traks back, he multiplies 250,000 x 0.00436 leaving him with 1,157.5 drachmas.

So...if you have kept yourself updated with the news...the 8 main clans of Khumbuwan (collectively known as the Athpahariyra Rai) rebelled against AM gov. Most clan leaders, even former Khumbuwani Hang Thebe Kulung, were killed the Khotehang sarin gas attack.
Most of the clansmen fled to CCA and have taken refuge there...which means that AM gov is going to appoint new leaders (kinda historic actually) of these 8 clans. Regarding the Kulung clan, this woman would have been the new head if she was not in jail.
So, they are going to make this guy, Jiri Kulung, the new clan leader. Since capitalism and whatnot...anyone interested in making a NOTBachelor kind of show with this guy (just a news article would suffice)? He would be a Magarati citizen but currently residing in your nation.
I really hate not having decimals but for right now, you sir can put 1USD = 100 Magarati rupees in there.
Roughly similar to Japanese yen or Indian rupee IRL.
ICly, the Magarati rupee lost its original value after the Imperial War.
Athara magarat
Keomora, Dragao do mar, New totzka and Dormill and Stiura; I hope you would not mind IC Magarati jokes about how they were the only ones who fought as Neo-Imperialists (in contrast to what actually happened).
"The darned Keomorans switched sides like it was a football match."
"Marian 'Volunteers' were of great help...but only after 1942."
"The Ouronans/Totzkans spent the entire war failing to take over Almorea while we invaded nearly a dozen countries by that time."
"Doralitics? Dormill-Stiuraians? I am sorry? What do you mean they were our allies? They were our No 1 Enemy/Rival. Wait, they were in the Imperial War?"
The Imperial War, where AM's long-time historical allies Noronica and Razzgriz became its enemy while arch-rival DS became her ally.
How do I calculate my nations currency compared to the USD?
New aapelistan
Well if you want an accurate amount, it's complicated... Also depends is your currency freely floating or pegged to another currency.
The safest way in my opinion would be to check out economically similar nations and look at how much their currency is to the USD. Then use that or a similar rate
So guys, I have this theory. Whenever I'm giving an oral exam I always make sure that I'm well groomed and well dressed. Call me a sociopath, but I think that even though teachers are officially supposed to neutral and only rate your performance, I think that if you give them a good impression of yourself to begin with, they will be a lot more favorable towards you when it comes to grading.
Could be. But if I were the teacher (I have been one) and you'd wear a tie, you'd get points removed if I were allowed to take appearance into account. I absolutely despise them. (Not as much as white footwear though; candidates entering an exam dressed in that, I would not even allow to take the exam - if I were allowed to take appearance into account :) )
