That's one of the classic gotchas, but it ignores how the South enabled that as well. Should Northern slave owners have been murdered in their beds in a slave revolt too? Yeah
Let's dissect the larger statement here too. Ignoring the fact that "it was a noble war fought against numerically and industrially superior foes" is a common neo-nazi talking point when justifying the loss of the third reich, it's... a war the south chose to fight? So if it was really such an uneven fight, I guess all those people died so that the southern elite could have their pointless war?
Gonna say this discussion is pointless it’s called the American Civil War and that’s that no need to bring it up like that just to stir up an argument online, seriously have you nothing better to do? And no I’m not agreeing with the south just simply stating that you’re sounding like children.
The three bands represent 1 and 10-1, January 11, the day when the four states of Andavar, Sudever, Vastaros, and Tillianan signed the Rose Declaration, uniting into the modern Roendavarian state. The golden rose is the symbol of the Iralethias Royal Family and the four stems/vines that surround it represent the four states. As for the colors, the Green symbolizes nature, environmentalism, libertarianism, and liberalism, and the Gold symbolizes wealth and the monarchy.
There is nothing Nazi about the Confederacy, and yes the South did fire the first shots, but did they really start the war? Upon secession, Lincoln ordered the other states to send 75,000 volunteers to reconquer the South, it was this act which caused Virginia, Tennessee, North Carolina and Arkansas to also secede. The South wanted to peacefully leave the Union, no Confederate wanted war, that was all President Lincoln’s doing. Many in the North didn’t won’t war either, and those that spoke out against it were illegally arrested and held without trial by executive orders. In the end it was the grandsons and great grandsons of the men who wore the gray that defeated the Nazis and saved the world.
Would be my pleasure, feel free to send a telegram to me if you’ve got any questions that pop up. First thing you should probably know is that there’s three main types of regions: the more general regions which do a bunch of stuff, Raid/Defend regions which use the mechanics of the world assembly to take over regions (or defend them from being taken over) and roleplay regions who do a lot of worldbuilding of their nations and all of that comes together as we create collaborative storylines.
Here in TWI we’re a roleplay region, and this dispatch is great start to get acquainted with how stuff goes down around here:
There wasn't anything Nazi about the Confederacy, that's true, it did actually predate that. But there's a ton of overlap between neo Nazis and neo Confederates both in terms of arguments and also the actual people. There's a reason those two flags often fly together.
Anyway, I guess if you want to ignore the south literally starting the war, mobilizing, and stealing arsenals, you could also read some primary documentation if you want to learn about what started the Civil War. The cornerstone speech is a good one, and individual state's articles of secession are good as well. You'll find it wasn't because they were scared of the big bad north.
Yeah but you're prepared so it's your fault. Now please return to paying your taxes which disproportionately head into the southern states because they intentionally self sabotage their own populace as they're still loath to do anything that helps black people.
No I literally had the most scary dreams about horrifying nudibranches invading my tank and eating my snails and fish! I had to check on them as soon as I woke up
