I only watched South Park out of the three of those shows.

I support.

Also I haven't watched many other famous serials or movies. For example, I have never watched Marvel movies.

Huh, then that was the only option you'd have been picking anyway

Absurdity. I am thinking of voting against it, despite the fact that so far the other terms of the resolution have satisfied me (but this is only the beginning, so in terms of my satisfaction it is not a final opinion, as well as in terms of voting against this resolution). These are just thoughts in my head, but a fact.

You ought to be allowed to seek other employment regardless of the wishes of your employer. You are not their slave, they do not own you. And you ought to be allowed to seek better opportunities for yourself.

You are only obliged to give your employer what is specified under your employment contract that all parties agreed to

I took it too directly to mean that workers can look for a new job without a resignation letter (signed by the employer). Now I have the opportunity to be inclined to welcome the "yes" vote, although it is not certain yet.

Ah I feel like if the wording of a proposal confuses the reader, it needs to go back to the drawing board

The South Pacific Delegate of Ebonhand

Hello children; the fan mail has been sent out!

This dispatch was originally sent as a Regional Telegram on May 13th, 2024:

Greetings, my fellow South Pacificans!

It has been 16 days since my last Fortnightly Briefing! Apologies for the delay in sending this briefing out; I have had several important Out of Character (OOC) life events take place the last few days, among them my graduation from grad school on Friday and Saturday and my birthday today! Moving back to in-character, our region was kinda sleepy the last couple of weeks! Now, without further ado, it is time for another fortnightly briefing!

~~~~
First: The Assembly has been active in debate and votes!
First: The Assembly confirmed Prime Minister PenguinPies's cabinet appointments! They immediately took office and are already hard at work implementing their agendas.
Second: The Assembly restarted discussion on amending the Criminal Code to clarify and insert provisions relating to being an accomplice to a crime. The amendment has since passed the Assembly!
Third: Legislation was introduced to the Assembly, which intends to reform and update the World Assembly Act. The changes to the law intend to restructure the term of office, the voting procedure for OWL Votes, and overall provide the Prime Minister/OWL Director more authority to direct the Delegate to vote on World Assembly resolutions. I have personally come out against many of the provisions of the law, as it removes many of the discretionary powers that Delegates traditionally have in the World Assembly. The debate continues, and hopefully, a better bill will emerge!
Second: Your endorsement cap is looking kind of low! Consider endorsing me Ebonhand and the other members of the Coral Guard so that it raises back up!
~~~~

That is all for this fortnightly update (partly because there was less going on, but also because I typed this out in 20 minutes between RL engagements)! For making it to the end of this Telegram, you all get the traditional end-of-update slice of cake! Additionally, to celebrate my birthday and graduation, I have decreed that unlimited cake be served at the Lampshade Bar and Grill (along with unlimited SPIT) until the next Fortnightly Briefing comes out! 🍰🍰🍰🍰🍰🍰🍰🍰🍰🍰🍰🍰🍰

I look forward to updating you all again in a Fortnight and talking with you all in the interim! Remember, my Telegram box is open to those who want to talk!

Always and eternally yours,

Ebonhand/Griffindor

His Most Benevolent Cakeness, the Emperor, Mother, and Delegate of the South Pacific

Hampsters are old news!

You should be proud that you got a dispatch that far-reaching and popular! Few nations have had a dispatch get that big!

If there are good people in the chat - then it is not necessary. After all, there is hope that they will tell you.

Breaking bad is easily one of the best series in the world. And The Office, well, is amazing. South Park also is really good and funny.

For policy that affects huge goups of people it’s best to use the clearest language possible to prevent confusion. The people who make the policy won’t be around forever to explain it. I think the average person reading the policy/law should be able to confidently know what a policy/law does and how it affects them by reading it alone. This is mock government after all.

It's a bit cryptic but it's meant to say that employers can exploit visa workers... In the event that domestic legislation addresses (some) possible exploit, but doesn't cover (said) exploit in the event that it's an employee with a work visa...

So while I can imagine the exploit existing and while I'm willing to give benefit of doubt that this legislative loophole exists, my issue with it is in (3)'s presumption that an international body be given delegated prowess to ensure this. No.
