It's kind of sad that you live in a reality where having a gun is the only thing that helps you "feel safe."

They should replace all gun shops with marijuana and vape joints. That's what they did to my hood. Now, everyone's so high 🙄 They ain't Karen (I mean caring) about inflation, though. This is good for the guvz cuz when they take over everything, everyone will be too busy smokin and vapin to notice.

It's the concept of Mutually Assured Destruction. Just as the most powerful countries in the world feel safe that they won't be invaded because they have nuclear weapons, so to do residents feel safe that an intruder won't kill them in their own home because they have a gun. The intruder(s) have to take this into account before deciding to break into someone's house. They have to decide if it's worth risking their life. They have to determine if they are desperate enough to kill or be killed so they can steal your TV and pawn it off for what little the pawn shop would give them.

I thought this was a worry in Third World countries, not in The USA. It's illogical for me to think about the realities of living in America. We keep our doors open here. Only a small % own 🔫

The US is not so different in that regard. Any country where people have stuff, has people that will try to steal other people's stuff. Every country in the world faces this problem. If someone told me there was a country where this was not the case, I would be certain that they were lying to me.

True, but then why do we have a shooting per week it seems? Is it a cultural crisis or mental health crisis? Is it both? Why is it not being addressed? Why have we become numb to bloodshed and terrorism within our own borders? Why are other things being brought up as bigger dangers? Why can we not clean up our own backyards before we meddle in other affairs?

Of course not. It's just that people generally don't check the RMB rules until they break the rules, after which we have to show them the rules ourselves. So it's really refreshing that someone come here and read the rules without being told to. :P

I'd say there's an economic and welfare side to it as well. Things become more expensive, but one does not get paid more to make up the difference. So people can't afford what they could before the increase. They become desperate enough to break the law in order to provide for themselves or their family.

USA in many ways is worse than a third world country. I mean, it’s Masonic history is amazing, but apart from the elites, average American is very miserable with no real sense of identity or culture he could relate to. An average American is probably more miserable then an Afghani. Because he is enslaved by one or the other things including but not limited to student debt and as such, remains bound just like in slavery till he dies.

Have you considered that LSD experiments which American government promised they have discontinued are still ongoing amid different conditions and tampering of certain food sources?

Of course, the book and the link says the experiment and the project were shut down, but was it really shut down I wonder? 🤔 if one invests heavily on something, and if it spent by government, I don’t think it can be that easily closed. But we’ll, this is just a stretch but it is curious.

Of course, this other theory might also seem far fetched but most murderers are themselves victims of the most horrible forms of bullying at school or abuse at home or both. Not many are strong enough to resist the urge of killing people. People in general are not innocents. I don’t condone murders however, but if the mind is in the dark place, bullies or bad parents do not help. This also signifies the collapse of cultural values within the country and as such, the society itself may collapse in a few years.

It is not good to say that the country is safe just because it has nuclear weapons. It was the worst thing that man created... Just one nuclear bomb annihilates millions of innocent civilians in a single city. It's the same if a nuclear power plant exploded... The city would no longer exist.
You cannot forget the effects it has when you come into contact with radiation.

A person who has decided on a murder will go to any lengths to kill people. Guns even though it looks terrible, which it definitely is, does limited damage. What if such type of people make bombs and bomb the school? Do you realize how many people will die? It is not difficult to make an effect C4 especially for geniuses which most of these murderers are.

And even China hasn't solved the problem. Instead of mass shootings, they have mass stabbings. Just recently, a guy in China stabbed a hundred people to death on a train. Whether it be by gun or knife, a lot of people still get murdered. The only thing that changes is the manner in which they do it.

Is it bad that Mutually Assured Destruction is necessary? Yes. Is it working? Yes. One cannot argue with the results. Nuclear energy is the cleanest form of power we have. There are 441 nuclear reactors active in the world. Only seven incidents involving nuclear power plants have occurred. Of those seven, only two of them have had the serious kind of meltdown you're thinking of: Chernobyl and Fukushima. The rest were due to human error or a natural disaster. Only seven incidents across 70 years. That's a 0.445 chance of failure. You have a higher chance of winning millions in the lottery.

I'd bet my life on those odds. Especially when it's literally the greenest form of energy on the planet.

Screaming confused blobs

Getting rid of guns in America, at least in the sense of getting it out of the hands of criminals is not gonna happen, and considering the crap that happens in supposedly gun free zones and the like, I personally would rather not be limited in my choice of home defense items with the criminal element having none.

Secondly, the mental healthcare in the US sucks period...so every time a tragedy happens, it's a coinflip as to whether A) the person snapped and decided to go postal B) the person was snapped via one of two 3 letter organizations grooming them to do said tragedy in order to push the letter more that gun control is needed so that the American populous continues to be defanged and dependent on our 'benevolent' police force and leaders.

The short of it, we need better mental health. We need to flush the gov(both local and federal) of all these old bastards and get new blood in there, get rid of this dumb two part system cause 1)it ain't working 2)The two parties are in bed with each other whilst putting on a puppet show for the masses to keep fighting each other like tribal idjits..not mentioning the amount of corpo cancer involved. Flush the mainstream media because god damn it, I'm trusting wackos on a backwater site than them about actual news. If there's anything else I missed, it's because I'm just venting.

That made me think about the MK-ULTRA mind control experiments. Some people say that those are still happening through mass media that endorses and protects the things that Governments do, but shun broadcasters and media outlets that ask questions.

I don't think outright bans are the right approach. There are obviously other weapons within reach. If you take away them then there'll be stones and tree branches. Education and careful screening would be good ways to deter the prevalence of such crimes. By ignoring the issue, in due time, it'll only get worse. Committing such crimes is deeply personal. Unless reasons are addressed, scarier things will occur.
