Intro
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- During the early 20th century, the Bolshevik party, led by Vladimir Lenin, launched a series of protests against the Russian Empire, known as the "Red Wave." This wave lasted from 4th February 1919 to 6th of June 1921 and was marked by several significant events. One of the most notable ones was the "Red March" in Petrograd, which marked the first organized march by the Bolsheviks. This event was a turning point in the Bolsheviks' struggle for power, showcasing their ability to mobilize their supporters and challenge the status quo. However, the success of the "Red March" was short-lived as many Bolshevik members were exiled to Siberia as punishment for treason. Despite this setback, the Bolsheviks continued to agitate against the Russian Empire, eventually leading to "Black Tuesday". -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Black Tuesday (Pre)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- On March 22, 1921, Vladimir Lenin, the leader of the Bolshevik Party, led a coup in Petrograd, Russia. The coup was executed by the Red Army, which consisted of approximately 5,150 military personnel. As a result of the coup, many members of the nobility who were in the city at the time fled, with much of their property being destroyed in the process. During the evacuation, an individual named Joseph Stalin, who was later to become a prominent figure in the fight, is known to have been the first person to seize the palace.
On March 23, 1921, Vladimir Lenin, the leader of the Bolshevik Party, declared victory over the city of Petrograd, after a long and bloody battle. In his proclamation, Lenin named himself the People's Chairman of Russia, solidifying his role as the head of the new government. Meanwhile, Joseph Stalin was named the Chief of Police, responsible for maintaining order and suppressing dissent within the city. Despite the victory, the town remained under the control of the Bolshevik revolutionary force for another day, until March 24th.
On March 24th, 1921, the Red Army engaged in the second battle of Petrograd against the estimated 20,000-strong White Army. Unfortunately, after hours of fighting, the Red Army lost control of the Palace and was soon forced to retreat. This battle marked a significant turning point in the Russian Civil War, as it demonstrated the strength and tactics of the White Army and the need for the Red Army to reassess its strategy. During the retreat, both Lenin and Stalin were captured. Ending Black Tuesday. The estimated toll of deaths numbered 35 thousand. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After Black Tuesday (Pre)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- On April 2nd, 1921, a historic trial began, which would have far-reaching consequences for the Bolsheviks. The trial involved two prominent Bolshevik leaders, Vladimir Lenin and Joseph Stalin. The trial was held in the aftermath of the infamous coup that would be later known as Black Tuesday. The Russian Government, which was opposed to the Bolsheviks, provided little to no assistance and basic rights to the defendants. Despite the challenges, the trial received widespread attention.
On April 17th, 1921, a verdict was delivered in a court proceeding, which sentenced Vladimir Lenin and Joseph Stalin to death by hanging. Later that day they would be hung. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Death of Lenin (Pre)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Following the demise of Vladimir Lenin, the prominent figure of the Bolsheviks, the political party underwent a period of splintering. During this phase, the party was divided into several factions, the most significant ones being the "Neo-Bolsheviks" and the "Russian Social Democratic Labour Party". The Neo-Bolsheviks were led by Leon Trotsky, who was the first person to assume leadership after Lenin's passing. On the other hand, the Russian Social Democratic Labour Party was led by Julius Martov, who was a formidable contender for the party's leadership. This split in the Bolshevik party had a profound impact on the Russian political landscape, and its repercussions were felt for many years to come.
Both parties had temporarily united after the ban on Bolsheviks, following the events of Black Tuesday. During this time, they decided to attempt a second coup under tyranny. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Start and End of The Russian Civil War
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Following the death of Vladimir Lenin, the founder and leader of the Bolshevik Party, the Bolsheviks faced a period of suppression. However, after 49 days after Lenin's death, the recent ban on the Bolsheviks had led them to revolt against the government. The Bolsheviks quickly took control of key points, which ultimately resulted in a sweeping revolution across the Empire. This period of political upheaval marked a significant turning point in the history of Russia and had far-reaching consequences that shaped the country's future for many years to come.
Battle of Krasnoyarsk - June 7th, 1921 The Red Army launched a surprise attack on the White Army's position in Krasnoyarsk in the early hours of June 7th. The White Army was caught off guard and suffered heavy losses, with many soldiers retreating from the battlefield. The Red Army emerged victorious and claimed control of the city.
Battle of Novorossiysk - June 15th, 1921 The White Army launched a counteroffensive against the Red Army in Novorossiysk, hoping to regain control of the city. The Red Army was prepared for the attack and had set up strong defenses. The battle was intense, with both sides suffering heavy casualties. However, the Red Army managed to repel the White Army's assault and retained control of the city.
Battle of Omsk - June 20th, 1921 The White Army made a bold move and attacked the Red Army's position in Omsk. The Red Army was taken by surprise and struggled to defend their position. The battle raged for hours, with both sides giving it their all. In the end, the White Army emerged victorious, pushing the Red Army out of Omsk and gaining control of the city.
Battle of Vladivostok - June 25th, 1921 The Red Army launched a massive assault on the White Army's stronghold in Vladivostok. The battle was intense, with both sides suffering heavy losses. Despite the White Army's best efforts, they were unable to hold off the Red Army's advance. The Red Army emerged victorious and claimed control of the city, marking a significant turning point in the Russian Civil War.
Battle of Moscow - June 19th, 1921 In the year 1921, the Red Army, under the leadership of Leon Trotsky, initiated a decisive attack on the city of Moscow, which was then the center of the White Army's military and political power. The fall of Moscow was a crucial turning point of the Russian Civil War, as it would have severely weakened the White Army's ability to resist the Bolsheviks. After a prolonged and bloody battle, the Red Army emerged victorious on June 24th, 1921. This historic triumph is often credited as a major factor in bringing an end to the war, which had already ravaged the country for years. The victory of the Red Army in Moscow proved to be a significant boost to the morale of the Bolsheviks and their supporters, and it also helped them to establish a firmer grip on power in the country.
The Battle of Moscow and the Battle of Vladivostok were two significant events that contributed to the fall of the Tsar's regime. During the Battle of Moscow, the Red Army successfully destroyed the supply line of the Tsar's army, forcing them to retreat back to the capital. This defeat weakened the Tsar's power and strengthened the position of the Red Army, ultimately leading to the Treaty of Moscow, which stripped the Tsar of his power and took him prisoner until the end of the war.
In the aftermath of the Battle of Vladivostok, the Far East region of Russia fell under the control of the Red Army. The Red Army's strategy of capturing many nobles as hostages proved successful, and the Tsar was eventually forced to sign the Treaty of Moscow, which formally relinquished his power and ceded control of the region to the Red Army. As per the terms of the treaty, the Tsar was subsequently taken prisoner and held captive until the end of the war. These events marked a significant turning point in the Russian Civil War and ultimately led to the downfall of the Tsar's regime.

1. If you would like to stake a claim in for some land on the map then TG, British Bayonet, Blob Regulators, Dronelig, Western Vapia, Nirvasyl. 2. If you make a post on the RMB asking to be put on the map, or put it in a factbook or dispatch, you will be ignored, please refrain from doing so. 3. Try your best to find out in advance WHERE you would like to claim, not just "can i join the map pls" or a vague "this rough area pls" *points at an entire continent* Get yourself paint.net, make a thing, show where you want it. Or at the very absolute least try to put in words exactly where, it's not that hard. 4. When you know where you want to be, stay there, don't ask carto if you can move. "B-b-but that spot is nicer and-" Should have thought of that in advance.
Claims must be: 1. Reasonable enough to be put onto the map. If you want more accurate claims and you have Paint.net, beginner claims have a limit of 40k pixels. Your secondary nation will have to be at 20k pixels or less. However a secondary cannot be claimed immediately upon joining the map. 2. Picky is good. Feel free to request changes to borders if you aren't happy with them. 3. This map's planet is the same size as Earth, so we won't be making the map any bigger. If Earth can fit 200 nations, so can this. 4. We are not changing or adding new territory to the map. Use the existing land more efficiently and we won't need any more. 5. Not on any body of water. - Map removal will occur when: 1. AFRP, or Away From RP (not RPing for 30 days, 20 days in the case of people on other RMB maps) 2. RMB RP Ban (if one clause states "therefore, the RMB Cartography Staff shall remove <nation> from the map") 3. Cease to Exist (when the nation dies in the 28th day. Exceptions apply.) 4. Moderator Sanctioned 5. RP posts are not up to standard (refrain from making posts that are just one sentence)
1) All nations are able to claim up to the initial 40,000 claim limit for main nations at any time.
2) Action Expansions Rules of the Action Expansion
Section 1: Expansion Size and Limitations 1A) The expansion may comprise of up to 20,000 pixels at any one time. For example, if Nation A is 40k pixels they may expand up to 20k additional pixels for a total of 60k pixels. The maximum size a nation can become is 200,000 pixels.
1B) For nations under the 40k claim limit they can claim their remaining pixels to bring them to the limit before applying the rule. For example, if Nation B is 30k pixels they can claim their remaining 10k pixels to bring them to the 40k claim limit then apply the rule to expand an additional 20k pixels. In total Nation B would be able to use this expansion to expand by 30k pixels for a total of 60k pixels.
We are instituting a 200,000 pixel cap (this is equivalent to expanding by 160,000 px). You may only expand 20,000 pixels at a time with a 3 month cooldown between expansions. Finally, depending on the circumstances the Mod/Carto team will be able to grant extensions to expansions.
Section 2: How Expansions Occur and Work
Word Requirements for claims: With 40,000 Initial New nation size - Number of Words : Number of Pixels 40,000 - Initial 40,001 ≤60,000 - 1:2 60,001 ≤80,000 - 1:1 80,001 ≤100,000 - 1.2:1 100,001 ≤120,000 - 1.5:1 120,001 ≤140,000 - 1.8:1 140,001 ≤160,000 - 2.1:1 160,001 ≤180,000 - 2.4:1 180,001 ≤200,000 - 2.7:1
2A) For every pixels that are claimed, the RPer must provide the amount of word of roleplay related to their expansion. Example: Nation A is expanding by 20k pixels from 40,000 to 60,000. In order to be valid, Nation A must write 10,000 words of roleplay.
2B) In regard to fulfilling the roleplay requirement for their expansion, worldbuilding posts regarding the expanded area can be made. These can form up to 25% of the total words required. Additionally, the use of alternative methods such as Flags and Maps etc. can fulfil up to 50% of the worldbuilding allowance. For example, Nation C is expanding by 20k pixels and thus are required to provide 10k words of roleplay. Of the 10k words required, 2.5k (25%) can be provided through worldbuilding. Within those 2.5k words, up to 50% can be provided through alternative methods. In this example it would be equivalent to 1.25k words.
2C) Please notify us of a piece of Worldbuilding or RP that would count towards your word count quota by pinging ONE member of RMB RP Moderation OR RMB Cartography Staff with a link to the desired Worldbuilding piece or RP post. Failure to do so may result in said RP/Worldbuilding post not being counted towards your word quota. Additionally, you can mention one of the previously stated applicable members to check your word quota at anytime, and get updates to see if something has been counted or not, but just remember be respectful and patient as we may be busy with other discussions at the time of your contact. Impatience will get you nowhere.
2D) Using things such as one-liner posts* will not count towards the requirement. See post-script below what one-liner posts mean.
2E) After making a claim a period of 6 months (26 updates) will begin during which the requirements for the expansion must be met.
2F) The existing rules in regards to expansions such as those for colonial claims etc. will be applied to all expansions.
Section 3 - Criteria to Qualify for Expansion 3A) Only primary (main) nations are allowed this expansion. Alternative (secondary) nations will not.
3B) The nation must have been on the map for at least a period of 2 months, this starts from the map that the nation was added on. If you have been removed around this period, then this starts from your most recent re-addition.
3C) In order for the claim to be approved, an OOC written response must be made providing the reasoning why you wish for the expansion for that territory. This must inform us of the thought behind the expansion and how you will fulfil the roleplay mandate. Moderation and cartography may ask further questions for the purpose of clarification.
3D) Roleplay and Worldbuilding posts must be related to the expansion for it to be counted as valid.
* - One-liner posts are an umbrella term to describe RMB posts that compose only of one paragraph. News posts (or articles) do not count either. * The following is the minimum length of one paragraph: Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit, sed do eiusmod tempor incididunt ut labore et dolore magna aliqua. Name: Deniz Kaplan Age: 42 Background: To put it simply, the man is an a**hole. He is egotistical, constantly brags about the achievements Kurzakstan has achieved (while ignoring and even denying the fact that we are currently in a civil war), but even then he, while not discovered quite yet, has been selling classified Commonwealth documents to factions like the PPP and even whole countries like Verdantia-Galerium. He was also a close friend of Nikolai Romanov before stabbing him in the back by turning a blind eye to Danilo and his team breaking into the central committee building. The entire reason why he has been chosen is because he has represented the Turuk and Talruk minorities for most of his life (hes 42) so he has the most experience.
This dispatch is dedicated to recording the Turkic nations and minorities around SR, be it culture, language, or both. Some do have an IRL equivalent and they will be listed as such if notified. Do remember that it isn't required to have them compared to the IRL ones :]
Yes, but it must be a reasonable amount to have. There is a formular you can use to compare your total size to real life countries and help you choose from there. (Km^2= 25.40193 x pixel count)
calculation is 25.40193 x pixel count quick referece code line:
[*]nation namePixelsTotal Land kmē0 kmē
!Notes! The nations listed in this dispatch are whom I believe and know to be "active". This means nations will make some sort of effort to stay on the map such as avoiding the occasional purge. If you are on this list and notice any discrepancies in terms of formatting or Nations' states, please let me know!
1Total Land Pixels; Pixels do not include bodies of water(Lakes/ponds).
2Fresh Water; Water that does not include any bodies connected to the sea in any way on the map.
!Note! This section is a tad strange as what determines a colony and island nation is dependent on: Distance of colonies to mainland and where they're located i.e AGU, 5Kob, and ED's territory occupating Seissen. -----
I know there are 2 nations that are NPCs, or rather to my knowledge, and shouldn't need to be spoiler-ed. HOWEVER, to stick with consistency and for the possibility of future countries becoming one they get their own section.
Also Ive been toying around with the idea of having airships in the Kurzak Airforce, particularly flying aircraft carriers so to speak that would be a zeppelin combined with an aircraft carrier.
