Amendment to The Military Powers Act
Preamble
This legislative Bill,
ACKNOWLEDGING the position of the Director of the Free Nations Defense Association as a historically appointed role,
DESIRING a more democratic approach to leading the military, and
NOTING the need for the Director to be a leader with substantial military experience and the support of the soldiers they lead,
BELIEVING the current system to be inadequate for failing to fulfill these needs and desires, and
CITING the position of the Roleplay Delegate as an example of a democratically elected position in which members of the community they lead may elect them without interference from other parties,
HEREBY AMENDS the War Powers Act as follows:
Section I: The Free Nations Defense Association
The Director, selected by the Founder elected by and among the soldiers of the Free Nations Defense Association (FNDA), shall lead the Free Nations Defense Association (FNDA) FNDA and may determine internal command structure and policy.
The Director will serve until they resign or are removed by the Founderfor a period of twelve months, or until they resign. The Director shall not be beholden to term limits unless they dictate otherwise through internal command structure or policy.
The Director shall be considered a member of the Cabinet.
Internal command structure and policy may not contradict this act in any way, nor the defender identity of the Free Nations Region.
The Earth Kingdom shall be the official military base of the FNDA.

As I was saying on the discord section, I will put my opinion and view out there.
The director allows us (Minister of Defense/Deputy MoD) to have a successful transition into office. When I was new to the position, him and Apatosaurus (Former MoD) assisted me. If we elect a new one every year, no matter the method, the military would fall into chaos unless if we introduce even more un-elected positions, in order to keep the military stable and working throughout that time. The director is who put his time and work into the FNDA, and I think he should remain in that position in order to make sure his vision stays true. We have become good friends, and I will not allow him to be potentially thrown aside in the military aspect. It was his dedication which made the FNDA what it is. I don't understand why somebody would want to take that away from him. If you want change in the FNDA, run for Minister of Defense.
