The State of Nihangok is interested in the Trans-Karshe railway proposal and believes that this will improve the economic cooperation and growth between all involved countries. The Nihangoki Government gives its permission to construct the railroad and wishes to further communicate with the respective governments involved on: the nature of the project, any gauging issues which may arise, contributions from each involved state including financial, construction, fabrication and research, as well as the ownership arrangement of the railway. The Nihangoki Government proposes that a delegation of all interested and involved parties jointly meet for further deliberation on this subject matter, and invites delegates to the southern Nihangoki city of Yinhe for this meeting. Alternative proposals for this meeting are also welcome.

Zastava Automobiles, the premier Serbian Auto Manufacturer know for their cheap yet reliable cars, has announced that they will begin exporting their newest models of the Zastava Koral. (The Yugo) According to their press release, Zastava is hoping to expand into markets ignored by traditional automobile manufacturers, markets in developing states where foreign investment can make a significant difference. Any private or state enterprises looking to import the Zastava Koral, a budget car designed for reliability with minimal parts, are encouraged to get in touch with their sales department to open a branch on their nation.

Denolia Shall Know Peace

In a historical event in Denolia’s history, recently a new government presides over the lands of Denolia, as the revolutionary Unionist movement overcame the previous system of united-in-name-only, squabbling regional dynasties.

In the days since then, the eclectic composition of the Unionists have been finding their footing, as new regional government form from the ashes of the preceding states, implementing new reforms on the regional scale, and over-all getting themselves together to form the new legitimate government of Denolia.
On the national level, the leadership of the Unionist movement have been squabbling amongst themselves about the exact nature of the new Denolian constitution and what Denolia should look like once it moves past its provisional governance. But what it at the very least clear, the Union of Denolia shall try its best to be a democratic republic.

The Provisional Union Government has agreed that open national elections shall be held ideally in January of next year for the national legislature and the office of President. Regarding the latter position, although no candidates have officially thrown their hats in the ring quite yet, many suspect General Stefan Leyan will be the most prominent possibility, considering his role in the Unionist revolution and his popularity among the Denolian people all across the nation.

In the meantime, the Provisional Union Government and its central directory will handle day-to-day affairs, implementing basic reforms all Unionists can get behind, and starting to open up to other nations to form both diplomatic and economic relations.

Although Denolia is not entirely out of the woods yet, with the newborn Union still in a very interim nature, what all Denolians can be rest assured of is that the period of outright strife and bloodshed if over for now, and the Denolia will known peace. Hopefully, with Faith, Liberty, and Unity, it can stay this way.

Election on the Horizon!

Recently, Ruzelna has been buzzing with activity as the national parliamentary election on November 15th draws ever closer. Various political parties and candidate campaigns have been rallying their supporters, and polling has become more volatile than ever.

Ruzelna is a multi-party democracy, with numerous groups with their own policies and visions, but there are three main parties that hope to capture the position of Prime Minister and head of the government :

- The National Action Union is the incumbent ruling party, head of the governing coalition and party of the incumbent prime minister. It was propelled to victory in the parliamentary election of 2019, bringing together a large range of voters on a syncretic platform emphasizing national populism, economic national, and a general rhetoric railing against an incompetent and out-of-touch elite. Although quite popular during its initial ascendancy, it has found itself in tight competition with opposition parties, with not only controversy and external criticism but even disputes between internal factions plaguing the National Action Union.

- The Civic Democratic Party is considered the main opposition party and is currently the largest of them. A big-tent party with a broad coalition of supporters, and a platform of both economic and cultural liberalism, the party prides itself as an icon of sensibility and moderation. It lost power in the 2019 parliamentary election as a result of its own scandals and unpopular leadership, but after its candidate won the 2021 presidential election, it rebounded and became more competitive once again; despite the Presidency being mostly ceremonial, the Civic Democrats’ victory showed voters’ discontent with National Action Union rule. However, it still has to contend with the unpleasant memory many voters have of when they were last in government, and must maintain its broad coalition without bleeding votes to other parties if it wants a chance to be the largest party.

- The Left Democratic Union is a fellow opposition party, currently being the second largest opposition group. It represents a more progressive direction in politics, advocating an egalitarian message in both the economic and cultural spheres. For most of this campaign, this party was considered to be the inevitable junior partner in a Civic Democratic coalition should the Civic Democrats emerge triumphant; however, some polling indicates that the Left Democrats may be attracting some support from voters hesitant to a return to the Civic Democrats, and may be enchanted by the Left Democrats’ slightly populist rhetoric. However, many polls still indicate the Left Democratic Union at third place behind the Civic Democratic Party and National Action Union, and many are still skeptical of the Left Democrats and being radical and not prepared to lead a government, so they will have to put some real effort if they hope to be the triumphant party this election.

Of course, there are numerous other, smaller parties competing this election, and any party will need to form a coalition for a government to be formed, but these three parties are the ones with the most realistic chances at leading a coalition formation.

The polls have been volatile recently, so it’s expected that a lot of activity will be seen as these parties try their last ditch efforts to try and capture the hearts of Ruzelnans. Whatever happens, let us hope that Ruzelna goes down the road to prosperity.

Charting the Course for International Relations

Although Denolia’s government is still in its provisional status, with the constituent assembly of the Provisional Union Government haggling over details and the overarching philosophy of the new Denolian state, a ground work is being laid for future executive institutions to serve the most basic functions of governance.

Among these institutions is the Foreign Relations Directory, which, as the name implies, will be tasked with handling relations with other nations, as well as bringing Denolia as a whole into the international stage and/or economy.

Although the Provisional Union Goverment is still currently more focused on domestic matters, it has been indicated that the Foreign Relations Directory wishes to reach out to the Kingdom of Zennovia, a nation across the sea from Denolia, due to Zennovia’s perceived “proximity, similarities, and shared desires for development”. There are also rumors the FRD wishes to reach out to negotiate the acquisition of automobiles from Quiameth in the interest of acquiring vehicles which would be affordable for the currently meager Denolian economy.

Although it’s not entirely clear where these proposals will go at this juncture, the FRD will certainly work to improve Denolia’s image after decades of chaos, and present the new Union government as a legitimate government.

Not to worry, we haven't gone anywhere, and we have moved to Discord for a while now as our main function to nation roleplay. Four superpowers will be determined, each holding either American, Russian, Chinese, or European(British, French, German, Italian, Spanish, ONLY ONE) military technologies. Superpowers will each have their own "sphere", where nations are aligned with such superpowers in their goals, ideology, or any other reason!

As of this post, you will have 24 hours to place your nomination on which tech you would like to claim. You can do that by sending me a telegram or by popping up in the rp-general chat on our FNF server. Once the time limit lapses, a 72 hour community poll will go up to determine which person will claim the respective superpower technology.

FAQ:
1. Is this going to be like real life?
No in the sense that this doesn't affect any fictional scenario, lore, interactions, ideology or other aspects of the RP. This designation is mainly for military technology purposes, with a side-effect on the economy, where owners of the military tech will receive an enlarged economy to reflect the fact that they are able to develop a lot of advanced military hardware, and in significant quantities.

2. Do I have to be of that nation's culture to claim the technology?
While it is preferable, it is not compulsory.

3. Does this affect any custom military design?
No. You are still free to use custom military designs, as long as your nation is able to produce them in the quantities you specify in your military factbook.

4. How does this European Superpower work?
So rather than being one nation, multiple nations will have a shared history and exist close to one another, operating under a broader economic union. You can think of it as the EU, except players who wish to be in this alliance are free to discuss amongst themselves as to what the name of the alliance should be, and whether it will be purely economic or have other aspects to it as well. Each player who wants to be in this alliance can claim ONE of the technologies listed above. Each of these nations will receive smaller or no economic statistics increases, depending on what their starting statistics are.

The Republic of Blaceris is a costitution-based federal republic that was formed after it gained independence from the Kingdom of Aethel on July 5th, 1874. Blaceris borders The Most Serene State of Thermendos to it's west, and borders other states to it's south. The Republic of Blaceris is notoriously known for it's uranium exports and agriculture and boasts a population between 20-21 million people since the last census in 2023; Most of Blaceris is surrounded by water and has multiple port cities. Blaceris is apart of the Free Nations Federation which helped it gain independence during the Battle of Charlotte.

Blaceris has 11 Provinces, which have senators and representatives which makes up the Blacerian Congress which are elected every 2-4 years. The National Animal of Blaceris is the Bald Eagle, which is the bird on the flag and coat of arms. The motto of our Nation is the " The First, and The Free ", we got this motto because in 1874 we were the first Nation to gain independence as a colony from the Aethellion Kingdom and soon afterwards many others would followed until the eventual collapse of the Kingdom in 1890. The National Language of our country is American English, which came from the Americas in 1871 when many southerners migrated to Blaceris due to the American Civil War.

The Ministry of Defense opens an Aeronautical Aerodynamics Study Institute and Laboratory (AASIL) which claims to study aerodynamics and space as well as the vertical launch of objects into the stratosphere. Military Advisor for the Blaceris National News, a privately operated company states that he has some suspicison regarding the opening of a new laboratory that focues on aeronautics and aerodynamics in space, especially since its owned by the Ministry of Defense and operated by the Air Defense Force. BLACERIS NATIONAL DFENSE BUDGET INCREASES 5%

The Blaceris National Defense Budget has increased from $15 Billion to $51 Billion, making up 7.59% of the National GDP. The Ministry of Defense cites the safety and security of our citizens

The Ministry of Defense is proud to announce, that an Armed Forces parade will take place in the City of Richmond, our Nation's Capital on Main Street. This parade will display, instruments, self propelled artillery vehicles, towed artillery vehicles, amored vehicles, a military flyover and the display of soldiers, to commemorate the Armed Forces of our Great Country. During this event, the President invites foreign ministers of states to view the parade, however, you must schedule with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs before the parade takes place. The parade will be televised on National TV, by the Blaceris National News.

The parade will take place on 9th of December (RP Time), (April 3rd 2024, will be the day of the parade)

The United Francophone Popular Republics: The Utopia in Construction

The UFPR is a Spriedumese Federal Popular Republic following a limited democratic system.

Formerly known as Nohol due to its largest Republic, the Union is constituted of eight Republics which are culturally diverse even if they have French in common.
The State recognises six "Nations" (understand that as six cultures): Français (Latin), Occitan (Latin), Breton (Celtic), Arpitan (Latin), Basque (isolate) and Gallofranc (Germanic); as well as two brother peoples: Jewish and Romany. Français, or Cultural French, represent a share just under the majority of the total population.

Until 2018, and the successful Revolution it was a semi-democratic Principality but various factors such as corruption, terrorism and the rise of far-right politics led to an uprising in 2017 and in a year or so, the Principality was replaced by the current system called The Nohol Way.

There are a total of 16 constitutionally allowed parties competing at various elections on the local and federal levels. Parties are usually put in three categories:

- Radical-Socialist: or parties in favour of a less democratic socialist revolution and usually very patriotic;
- Moderate-Socialist: or parties in favour of a democratic socialist system;
- Liberal: or parties in favour of a social, democratic and liberal republic, or "socialism with a human face".

Other parties with counter-revolutionary ideologies exist but are not allowed to compete at local or federal elections.

The current Head of the State and Government (Chief of the Union or CDU) is Louis-Philippe François, a Syndicalist (Moderate-Soc.), incumbent since November 2018 but the current Government, since Spring 2020, is Communist (Radical-Socialist) led by the Head of Parliament, Vice-Chief of the Union (VCDU) Fañc'h Kermaria.
The Parliament, made of a single house: The Federal Assembly of the Union of Francophone Popular Republics is perhaps the most sacred and important institution of the Regime.

A Game of Throne
It would be useless hiding it: the nation is amidst a leadership contest. A four man duel is being played as we speak

"The King": On one side you have LPF, the Chief of the Union, the incumbent Head of State, a respected war hero, philosopher and political theorist who has (deliberately?) not announced his successor right now.

"The Valet": On an other side, you have, Solomon Bouranger, fierce representative of the Jewish community, also a resistant and a fighter during the Revolution, he was seen by everybody as the legitimate successor to LPF but the fall of this Government in Spring of 2020 put him in a precarious situation. His cause is not lost though, many moderate and liberal favour him.

"The Ace": Gustave Lyvelain, the Mastermind, the King of Architects, the one who killed homelessness, the grand popular figure, The Great Technocrat (that's not a compliment), he bears many names but if Reconstruction had to bear another name, it would be his.

"The Trump": While the three others are members of the Syndicalist 'UPS' party, Fañc'h Kermaria is the only Radical among them, he has been really successful lately but the example of Bouranger shows that his position as head of parliament is a precarious one.

Economy
The pride of the Noholian people is perhaps its current economic system. Based on the thought of various socialist theorists, it is aiming at reinforcing the role of the State in key areas and the one of the workers in common ones: Macroeconomics are heavily monitored by the State and Workers' Council have replaced bosses in every factories. The private economy is almost non-existent and truly, in the UFPR, workers have achieved full control.

Political Equilibrium
The UFPR is a nation of compromise between all the fractions of the Communist, Socialist and Social-Democratic spectrum:

- Communists and Radical Socialists have pushed for the preservation of a strong State, with strong ministries, strong institutions, a united and influent military with a loyal staff.
- Marxist (successors to Guesdistes and Blanquists) promote the role of the Proletariat in Society, in the Armed Forces and are opposed to Technocrats.
- Syndicalist-Agrarian, very influential, have led to the creation of Workers' Council and Cooperatives and this system is largely due to them.
- Social-Democrats and Social-Liberals are the fierce defenders of Democracy and Private Economy. They oppose what they call 'Over-idealism' and Naive Socialism

This spirit of compromise and national unity lead to many great accords within the Parliament but the further we stray away from the Revolution, the weakest is this patriotic link.

The Future of the Revolution?
Many great steps have been done, but the path towards Utopia is still long.
The Armed Forces have to be reconstituted and strengthened following the Revolution; The place of the UFPR within the Diplomatic Game is to be redefined

New Tariffs and Taxation

The announcement has been made that tariffs on foreign goods are to be altered within the coming days across all ports in the nation. This comes from recent legislation being passed in the palace to push as a stronger economic force in the regions. The following changes are to be implemented within the next seven days:

-Any goods valued at Rk 25,000 or less is exempt from declaration upon entry
-Agricultural imports will be taxed at 15% of value
-Mining imports will be taxed at 15% of value
-Weapons imports will be taxed at 40% of value

On top of this, the national tax rate is to be altered following the low inflation rate recently found within the national banks. The following changes have been made:

-Citizens of Royal Nigaria will be taxed 7.5% of their income from the previous 10%
-Sales tax to be altered to 10% from previous 7.5%
-Foreign citizens will be taxed 10% of their income if living within Royal Nigaria unless they have a Class II visa or higher
