So ive been going over the military lore of my nation and Ive come to realize that kinetic shields technology like in Halo gets rid of a lot of the Tank's weaknesses, in particular to explosives. With the conflict in Ukraine, we're seeing how effective a single personnel carried anti-tank rocket launcher is. But with shields, you need to knock them down first before you can fire a rocket at one to be useful.
Artillery still works in terms of sheer numbers, but the logic in my canon is you need lasers to counter shields, and lasers don't really curve like missiles do. That leaves us with protracted fights between tanks vs tanks and tanks vs jet fighters who have laser-based weaponry. Or you use experimental technology like railguns and plasma accelerators that punch through armor and shields easily, the limiting factor is both railguns and plasma accelerators use a ton of power and plasma projectiles being the most damaging are relatively slow and short-ranged. (The plasma accelerators usually meant for short-ranged exchanges between naval and space vessels.)
Anyways thats my rationale to why my nation uses mechs. They're giant exo-suits meant to power and carry Railguns into battle to brute force through both a Tank's shields and armor.
Oh Nevertopia's army uses drones too. But like I said, kinetic shields really mitigates the tactic of just bombarding tanks with explosives. And theirs a huge suite of counter-drone technology available to us.
If i was you i wouldn't bother with that stuff and just use a wave of drones like they're Bayraktar TB2s with 20mm ATG(air to ground) mortar APFSDS shots to just blow the enemy back to the stone age.
I feel like you're lame, commit some crimes against humanity! Be fun, what is it with you robotic af boring lame-o people and not commiting mass crimes against humanity by bombing cities with hundereds of thousands or millions of people with Sarin gas?
She's got a smile that it seems to me Reminds me of childhood memories Where everything was as fresh as the bright blue sky Now and then when I see her face She takes me away to that special place And if I stared too long I'd probably break down and cry
Rise, rise soldiers to a battle, For the protection of Holy Freedom. We give our heroic blood to our sweet homeland, Which we shed with great courage until our death!
