Holy cow! I never dreamed I'd get this region back!

I'm going to hold on to this region for possible future use, it is likely to become the back-up region for St Abbaddon in the event of another long raid since they are both aquatic themed. The current flag and imagery of St Abby are all images I originally created to use for Pacifica.

DEN may be gone like TBR before it, but the terrible culture that built it lives on in the hearts of the players that took part in it. We have to stand up to them.

Spent some time I had to kill redesigning a flag. What a shame that I would get both regions I wanted to develop back at the same time. *SIGHS*

Pacifica has the zombie outbreak under control. All is expected to be normal in a little over 24 hours. We fought hard to protect the people of Pacifica. We will not rest until every nation is zombie-free. As always, the Republic fights for every nation in Pacifica, not some elite class, and our fight shall continue long after these zombies are gone.

Hello everyone. I have been your on again, off again founder since July 04, 2013. My first ever NS Nation was created in 2006, but I didn't start playing actively until the tail end of '08. My best known persona was the nation "Topid" who was a WA Author and Defender. I had to take a leave of absence from NationStates in September 2016 as my after-work time needed to be devoted to another important (but awful, boring, and stressful) process I was undergoing. So begrudgingly, I have been basically absent from NationStates altogether since then. When I posted that I was leaving, I guessed it would take me 18 months to be done and have free time for a game again. So I'm a little late, but I'm finally back!

Of course a lot has happened since I left. I intended to be returning to my old home region, St Abbaddon but in my absence the New Pacific Order conspired with my successor to remove me from the region. I haven't had a whole lot of opportunities to say anything about what happened, but allow me to just say this: I was more than happy at one point to hand this region over to NPO if it meant staying in my home region. I originally founded this region merely because it has a good stand alone name, and wanting nothing to do with the NPO. I was at a point I was done with "Topid" and done with NSGP in general, I wanted to keep playing in a non-GP persona. The new persona even contacted Krull / his FA guy Seeker of Power to clarify intentions and give them an opportunity to ask me to cease. NPO was characteristically unresponsive, one of them saying something like "Let me get back to you later" and one just not responding. It was only long after I returned to the "Topid" persona and the NLO coup was underway in Lazarus that I themed the region as anti-NPO as a joke I sent to Funk on IRC during the resistance to the coup. And that's what it was to me: a joke. No one contacted me to ask about this region or anything. I didn't know NPO was bent out of shape about it, and as soon as I found out I offered to hand it over to them. I can't understand how it benefited NPO to reject the offer. Especially when you consider that my successor has not lifted a finger for my former home - and is watching it slowly die. How many native endos are left in the region? How long until NPO forces him to ask for a refound? Prediction: That's where you're headed, because no one other than me will ever do work for that region, and so without me NPO will have to permanently deploy WAs there or destroy it to be rid of the liability. All this leads me to believe that what has happened had more to do with wanting to look successful/powerful internally than it actually was about protecting the long-term interests of the NPO.

Because, and back to this region, currently, I have this region and this region alone to focus on, and not a whole lot of reasons to be concerned with how the NPO feels about what I do here. Quite the contrary, actually, if I'm truly not going back to St Abby and I'm here for good, then what can they really do to me? A little old foundered userite stands to lose nothing and gains a heck of a lot of undeserved attention from any conflict with a major Gameplay region. So, I'm left holding a win-win hand in my book. I'm justified to be angry, and stand to lose nothing and gain if there is any response.

And with all that in mind, I announce the launching of Pacifica as an anti-authoritarian, anti-fascist, pro-democratic region as my successor to my old home of St Abbaddon. I want us to elect Senators via in-game polls of WA nations, and eventually have an elected head of state as WA Delegate. And above all, I want this region to stand as one big middle finger to all the radical nationalist/regionalist dictatorships that suppress opposition and give full control of a region to the dictator state. This region is for nations who realize that is the definition of fascism, and who just are not cool with it.
