MLS - 20 teams, teams play 38 games in a round robin

Bottom 3 teams relegated to the USL Championship, top 3 teams promoted from USL Championship

USL Championship - 20 teams, same scheduling format as MLS

Bottom 3 teams relegated to the USL League 1, top 3 teams promoted from USL League 1

USL League 1 - 20 teams

Bottom 3 teams relegated to the USL League 2, top 3 teams promoted from USL League 2

USL League 2 - 20 teams

Bottom 3 teams relegated to the NPSL, top 3 teams promoted from NPSL

NPSL - 96 teams, split into 4 conferences of 24 teams.

There are 176 clubs in the entire US soccer league system. I basically split them equally between 5 leagues and added a pro/rel system.
