Space Program Update

The June 5 launch of the Aristarchus Solar Probe was delayed due to weather concerns. It will now launch on June 10.

Another Successful Launch!

The IASE's Aristarchus Solar Probe was launched today without a hitch after being delayed from its original launch date due to weather concerns. The probe is set to remain in orbit of Earth for a short time before performing gravity assists around the Moon and Venus in order to bring it closer to the Sun. From there, it will collect various data about the star and its activity, with the hope of furthering our understanding of it. Much like the Ptolemy Telescope, data collected from the probe will by shared by the IASE with various organizations in and out of Minachia.

Peaceful Rebellion!
The government is once more at a standoff, as a village in the mountains has pledged allegiance to the oligarchs who have fled the country. The Royal government - as per King Pierre's order - have demanded the arrest and return of the oligarchs.

Return to Normalcy (cont.)

After two and a half months of heavy restrictions due to the RRS-CoV-20 pandemic, life in Minachia has mostly returned to normal. While mask usage remains commonplace and those who are at high risk of complications continue to stay at home, most professions have gone back to work and most restrictions have been lifted. Last week, the Emperor handed back authority to the Senate, which is now holding normal sessions again. International travel restrictions, of course, remain in place, but the process and rules for being granted permission to enter or leave the country have been significantly reduced. Furthermore, elections are set to take place as normal on July 15.

In other news, the Emperor, at the request of the Apostolic Pontifex, has offered special permission to the Vanyan royal family to visit Aurelia to celebrate the elevation of Augustine.

Pilgrimage Pending as Pandemic Winds Down

His Highness the Duke of Athos has praised the generosity and magnanimity of the Emperor following word that special permission had been granted for the princely family to make a pilgrimage to Aurelia in celebration of the elevation of the Apostolic Pontifex. As many as fifty thousand subjects of the Greater Vanya are expected to descend on Aurelia in the next month and hotels have been flooded with reservations. His Serenity the Xiaoxi Wang has announced through the Foreign Office of Eugrela that he will accompany his father as will his sister Her Highness the Countess of Lusarat.

Since all life is futility, then the decision to exist must be the most irrational of all.

Essotori has attempted to decrease tensions between Minachia, itself and Vanya over the issue of Eugrela with offering support to the new Pontifex. The Essotori representative, Harold Eskalder, is expected to give a speech in Minachia too, celebrating cultural ties between our nations, and stressing the value of peace.
