You cannot simply "leave" a region. You must always have a region. If you wish to move to a different region, you can do so by going to that region's main page and finding the "Move Dixie-Mexico to <Region>" button. It is always located below the region description section, and above the regional World Census report for the day. You could also found your own region, if you prefer.

Since nations are required to always have a region, in the event that a nation is kicked or banned from a region, that nation is automatically transferred to The Rejected Realms, which is the special, game-created sinker region for kicked or banned nations. You cannot be kicked or banned from TRR; if you do something worthy of getting banned even from TRR, you'll usually just have your nation permanently banned from play instead.

remember, never trust your banners. dont try to take a year long break the moment you get the immortal banner, as your nation sure isnt immortal even if you are!
