I've been trying to come up with some community outreach activities based in the RMB, and I was wondering what people's thoughts would be on starting a Question of the Day activity? I know a couple other regions do something like this, and that it can really stimulate discussion! If you are in favor of this idea, please either like or respond to this post. If this is a popular idea, I'll start writing questions as soon as I can.

just noticed something, the unified Pumaxi has more WA endorsements but is not the delegate y is this (sorry im kinda new to the game)

we have equal endorsements but I endorsed everyone I could first so he got elected

Yeah, Pumaxi got it exactly right. They endorsed Stanistanistanistanistanis first, so he got elected, even though Pumaxi has just as many endorsements. When we hold regional officer elections (I'm planning on holding elections once we hit ~10 members or so), whoever is elected Pharaoh will become the rightful delegate. After the election, we will ask that all WA nations endorse the Pharaoh, and unendorse anyone else, so that they become delegate.

Pumaxi has best defense forces and food taste!!!

Hello, and welcome to Anubis!

1. We don't have a discord server yet, but I am planning on creating one after our next election cycle (which should be very soon)

2. The current WA delegate wasn't formally elected, they just happen to have the most endorsements. When we hold our next election, whoever wins the election for Pharaoh will be granted the title, and we will ask that all WA nations endorse them so that they become the new WA delegate.

3. We're happy to have you! Indeed the region is inspired by Osiris. In Egyptian mythology, Anubis was the god of embalming and undertaking, and he served alongside Osiris, who was the god of the underworld. My goal in creating this region is to establish a place with an Egyptian theme that is more Democratic and focused on gameside activities (like the WA) than Osiris is.

Our last regional poll: "Biome Poll!" was our most successful poll yet! We had an unprecedented turnout, with over 27 votes cast! The number 1 choice among voters was Boreal / Conifer Forest, with 9 total votes, followed closely by Deciduous Forests, which had 7. Every option in the poll gained at least 1 vote!

Now that we have a sufficient number of residents, Anubis will be hosting Regional Officer Elections! These elections will start on December 16th and run until December 23rd, with an official announcement to open and close the polls. Details about the various positions can be found Here.

For this cycle, we will be having elections for the positions of Pharaoh, Vizier of Foreign Affairs, Vizier of Security, and Vizier of Community Affairs. The terms for these positions will be 6 months, and candidates will officially take office on January 1st of the new year.

To declare your candidacy for any of the positions, post a reply in the RMB stating your nation name, and the position that you would like to run for and answers to these 3 questions:

- What would be your top priority as a regional officer?

- Why do you feel that you would be a good fit for this position?

- What experience could you bring to the table as a new regional officer, and how would this benefit the region as a whole?

Candidates are allowed to run for as many positions as they want, but they can only accept 1 position. If you are running for more than one position, you do not need to fill out the questions more than once. Try to keep question responses to less than 200 words total.

-My top priority as Vizier of Community Affairs, would be the creation of interesting and region-related polls, the creation of region-wide activities ( some of which I already have so many ideas for!! ), ensuring a safe RMB under the new Pharoah's agenda, and assist in the over-all design and cultural make-up that is Anubis.

-I feel like I would be a wonderful fit for this office. I love Egyptian culture and I have experience running my own region for 6 years.

-Like with the previous question, my experience on NationStates is that of 7+ years. I know how a region is run, and I know the expectations and requirements of the office I'm running for!

-My top priority as Pharoah/WA Delegate would be to represent Anubis in the WA making sure our voice is heard as it is one of the priorities within the region.
- I feel like I would be best fit to this position as I am always checking the WA Issues, acts or resolutions as well as commending nations.
- I don't have much experience as most I do is solve issues in my country, check my country then the region and finally the WA for anything new but I think I can benefit the region by representing the votes in the WA as a delegate.
