I have heard that some toads may be licked for a hallucinatory experience. I suppose this is somehow analogous to the legend of the frog prince, given the similarities, and that there is something in nature that wants people to place their mouths on small, squat, tailless amphibians.

"Kiss a frog, marry a prince!" "Lick a toad, go on a trip!"
