Also, just let me say, in reaction to our last conversation, that while we never be as "great" as the feeder regions, I'd rather live in a region where I'm known, then in a region where I'm anonymous. I'd rather live in a region where I can feel "powerful" in my small corner of the world. I am known in numerous regions that are interconnected, which cannot be said of any ordinary nation in a feeder region.

I've kind of learned to just be content with what I have and take things slow and easy.
