Europaterre wrote:Inauguration speech of the Kingdom of Europaterre as the WA Delegate of the region

Dear nations of Sonindia,
Europaterre was elected as the WA Delegate of the region a few days ago, being the third nation to be appointed to this position. We are very honored that we were trusted by the large majority of the region (70%) and we are going to serve for the interests of Sonindia.
Today, with our official appointment as the Delegate of the region to the World Assembly, starts a new period of activity in Sonindia, and that will be sealed with the parliamentarian elections, scheduled to take place in a few days.
We are going to cooperate with the other government officials in order to achieve the best for the region. It's of utmost importance to take widely accepted decisions, based on the majority of the region.
Europaterre is now an elected official because the nations of Sonindia decided that. We are not going to abuse our power, respecting the democratic values of the region. We will defend every single nation of Sonindia in case of danger.
If we are not capable of fulfilling our duties and our responsibilities, we will notify you of our resignation, as we strongly believe that the government officials of the region must be active. In case of a scheduled absence and therefore inactivity from the game, you will be notified in advance.
May our incumbency have only benefits for Sonindia and its people.

Yours sincerely,
Europaterre

Thank you Europaterre! You are a little harsh on yourself though - if you want to take a break it is fine man. Just make sure to tell us when you will be gone!

(You may want to convert that post to regional telegram)

I know you are making considerations for the upcoming parliamentarian elections and it is about time that you learned the political stances of Corazistan (myself).

First of all, I believe in establishing policies regarding inactivity. I believe that elected nations should be given 2 weeks (amount can be changed as is proper) without proper reason given in advance before they must come before either parliament or the judiciary to argue for the security of the position. If they loose this trial the position should be filled by another, preferrably with some sort of electoral process, but appointments are passable if needed.

Secondly, I think it is time we kept citizens if Sonindia well informed on government policies and disputed bills. Therefore I propose, along with Ultior, that we put the Constitution on the RFE. Not only that, but I believe we should publicize and widen the accessibility of the Parliament’s discord. And in worst case scenario, if you elect me and are still in the dark on issues, I will be willing to personally update the people on disputed bills via the RMB.

Thirdly, I believe a standard needs to be set on freedom of speech. We should have a more clearly defined line on what is acceptable and what is not. This comes in light of seeing a wave of suppressions on comments I thought fair game and retention of comments I deemed highly disrespectful and some even malicious in a sense. This line however, shall be drawn by the entirety of parliament as I obviously have different opinions of acceptability than others.

Lastly I will state the general reasons why one would want to vote for me:
•I am very active, logging on about 5-7 times a day to both Sonindia and our respective discord servers.
•I am interested conversing with anyone and hearing their voice. I have engaged positively with nearly everyone who has been willing to respond to me in Sonindia.
•I try my best to show equal respect to all, whether they be start ups or NationStates veterans.

If this all resonates with you, opt to vote for Corazistan for parliamentarian in the upcoming election!

HAIL SONINDIA!

Edit: Even if there are fewer candidates for parliamentarians than positions available, please take this seriously.

With Parliamentary elections only 4 hours away, I would like to express my support for your platform.
