Occasionally, a cruise ship pulls into port and offloads a bunch of rowdy tourists, but more often than not, it's mostly lazy hammocks and island drinks here.

Missing you people, already. 😢😭

Lake Placid is dope tho
I have a 1932 Winter Olympics t-shirt, which was held there.

Oh yeah and 1980 as well but eh I'm a nerd and prefer the former

Here, in IND, all the academic institutions start operating in mid-June.
Well, this year has been a bit different, with the pandemic and all that. We are having online lectures, instead of normal college.

Here in Argentina I’ve been having virtual university lessons since march, and I’m so f*cking done.
I hope I can meet with my friends for september 21st.

They're either like that, or else the name of whichever British or German town the migrants came from, or they're a botched Native American word, or the name of some famous historical city that folks decided to bestow upon some podunk little village in the middle of nowhere and which we inevitably begin to mispronounce over the decades...

Yeah, that town is all about the Olympics. It is the one thing that they have, besides the beautiful wilderness but that's everywhere up there. So the town's entire identity is wrapped up in those two Olympics. As well as winter sport, in general, because they have a ton of leftover facilities and equipment from those two winter Olympics. People flock there all year round to train or take part in tournaments.

Half the town is sporting people like that and rich tourists and even more rich people with second homes they keep there. The other half is incredible rural poverty (such as my family). And it is really disheartening to see them butted up against one another. Most of them work service jobs catering to those rich folk, like cleaning homes and cooking and doing landscaping and construction. It's a bizarre place.

But, I digress. The history of the Olympics there are pretty cool. And yes, I too am an Olympic hipster and prefer the older 1932 Olympics to the more recent 1980 one... I like the Olympics before it became so commercial, man :P

You have neighbors on the map, now. So you'll have company whenever you are able to return.

Dear Norg,

This aggression will not stand, man.

Four of the top five spots in the Agriculture Sector statistic are my own nations. We will not only overtake your number one place, we will knock you out of the top five altogether. We shall salt the earth on which you once stood, and forbid your name be spoken in the lands until you are forgotten from history.

We wish you the very best, and remain your devoted servant always,

Dear Panther,

If you make any attempt to retake #1 in agriculture it will be considered an act of war. I will deploy all means to stay #1 and if I fail I will take you down with me. You have been warned.

Best wishes, Norgiestoileckylockj

Pardon my presumption, you likely already know this, but I believe websites like Stack Exchange and github are pretty good resources. Or so I hear...

I didn't realize that. By the way, you still owe us a story at some point about your early days with sled dogs :P

Dear Panther,
I received your gift. I thank you for your compassion even though we aren’t the bestest of friends during these times. In fact, I couldn’t just ignore your compassion without sending a gift of my own, so I hope this finds its way to your office.

Beloved Norge, light of my life,
Please accept this gift of a decorative pine box hand-crafted by our local artisans. I hope you recognize it as the peace offering it is meant to be. May our relations be restored to their former warmth.

Wow, look at all those dogs playing in the snow, lol. I love to see dogs "working," they're just so in their element.

I didn't realize so many different breeds were used for sled racing. I guess I thought they were all huskies and malamutes. Look what else I found:

Dear Panther,
We’ve kept this up for sometime, where I send you a gift with best wishes, but inside is the opposite of a gift, and then you send something back that ruins my day, so this needs to end. It’s all very predictable, so I have decided to send you a gift that you wouldn’t expect. Please, accept it graciously.

I await your next gift eagerly.

Norg,
You are correct, this has stretched on for some time now. I simply enjoy taking a joke past the point of absurdity.
I laughed upon reception of your final gift -- I truly did not expect it.
The is my last letter to you. This gift is all I have left.

There are many pure breeds being run as well as the majority of cross breeds. Ever see Dalmatians running. They blend into the snowy background and all you see are black dots dancing before your eyes. Another team consisted of white German Shepards. There was a team of black Newfoundlands being led by a Golden Retriever. The Newfies just trotted along and the Golden dropped from exhaustion after crossing the finish line from dragging the Newfies along. The weirdest cross breed I've ever seen was a Borzoi/Husky cross called a Borsky. lol

Well then, scavenging from YT is the only option left. :-|

Uhm...I was poking around and I realized that this region was created before I was born. Am I the only person here younger than South Pacific?
