We the people of Warzone Airspace, with the ratification of these Articles, declare the formation of a new state independent of any other. We affirm our right to liberty, sovereignty, and justice. Within these Articles shall be the foundations for a new government that will lead Warzone Airspace to prosperity and glory.

I. The Sky Lord
i. The Delegate of Warzone Airspace shall be known as the Sky Lord.
ii. All executive authority will be vested in the Sky Lord.
iii. The Sky Lord is empowered to: create and dissolve executive portfolios, delegate regional officer powers, and administer the region page as they see fit.
iv. The Sky Lord shall serve as the final arbiter in all disputes.
v. The Sky Lord is obligated to maintain law and order, and respect the rule of law at all times. The Sky Lord may act to keep the peace.
vi. The Sky Lord may declare a state of emergency, during a state of emergency the Sky Lord may legislate by decree, a state of emergency can be repealed by a simple majority (50%+1) vote of the Senate.
vii. The Sky Lord shall serve as Commander-in-Chief of any and all offensive and defensive forces of Warzone Airspace.
vii.a) The Sky Lord may raise a regional military to ensure regional security and to act in the interests of the State abroad. The Sky Lord shall also be empowered to dissolve the military at any time.
vii.b) As the Chief of Regional Security the Sky Lord may impose and enforce a regional endorsement cap.
viii. The Sky Lord with advice and consent of the Senate is empowered to make treaties with foreign states and organizations. All treaties must be confirmed by a two-third (⅔) majority vote of the Senate in order to be ratified or repealed.
ix. The Sky Lord will serve for an unlimited term until they either abdicate or are dismissed.

II. The Consulate
i. The Sky Lord must appoint a Consul to serve for the duration of their term. The Consulate may never be occupied by the Sky Lord.
ii. The Sky-Lord may dismiss the Consul at any time. A new Consul must be named within three (3) days time.
iii. The Consul will serve as the successor to the Sky Lord. Should the Sky Lord abdicate, become inactive, or be dismissed the Consul may exercise executive powers herein granted to the Sky Lord with the advice and consent of the Senate.
iii.a-1) Inactivity is to be defined as: 1) an absence from NS, forums, and/or government chatrooms for a period of two (2) weeks without prior notice, 2) nation Ceases to Exist, or 3) is ejected from the region and fails to return within three (3) days time.
iii.a-2) iii.a-1.3) is to be temporarily rendered null and void in the event of an unrightful occupation of the region by invading forces.
iii.b) Only the Senate shall have the power to confirm a new Sky Lord. A simple majority (50%+1) of the Senate is all that is needed to confirm an acting Consul into the Sky Lord at which point all powers and responsibilities afforded the Sky Lord are given in full.
iv. The Consul may introduce a Motion to Dismiss the Sky Lord on the Senate floor. A Motion to Dismiss requires the unanimous consent of the Senate.

III. The Senate
i. The Senate will be the supreme legislative authority of Warzone Airspace. Empowered to create, repeal, edit, amend, and pass legislation into law.
ii. The Senate is to be composed of three Senators originally elected from the populace to serve an undefined term until they’re dismissal by the Senate, abdication, or the loss of a seat to a challenger.
iii. Senators may establish Standing Orders to organize their procedures and ensure diligence.
iv. Senators may pass legislation by unanimous agreement.
v. The Consul will be given the right to speak on the Senate floor but may not vote on legislation.
vi. A senator may be dismissed by a two-thirds (⅔) majority vote of the Senate and the public consent of the Consul.
vii. A senator who has fallen inactive as defined in Section II, iii.a) their seat is considered abdicated and a general election will be called to fill the vacancy.
viii. If at any time and for any reason the region shall be without a Sky Lord and a Consul all executive powers given to the Sky Lord shall be shared equally amongst the Senate.

IV. Challenges and Elections
i. After a senator has held their seat for at least one (1) month they may be challenged by any citizen.
i.a) A challenger must have at least one fellow citizen publicly endorse their challenge before it can be considered valid.
ii. Once a legitimate challenge has been made a popular election will be called to decide between the incumbent and the challenger.
iii. The Consul will administer and oversee all elections and ensure they are fair and balanced.
iv. All popular elections and referendums will be resolved with first-past-the-post voting.
