Well it's almost Halloween and the annual 🧟 🧟 Zombie Apocalypse 🧟 🧟 will soon be upon us. If you happen to login on 10/30 or 10/31 please set your nation to RESEARCHING A CURE. This is the single most useful thing you can do if you are not helping to actively fight the zombies.

Is it really that time again? I think somebody keeps shortening the calendars.
CrossVegas will be ready.

All the citizens of Tennessee survived another Zday woooo!

final stats... 2023 Most Survivors + No Zombies: 31st place. Most Survivors: 46th place.

Good job, zombie hunters!!

it was mostly due to you and your initial hard work. And because Caledoniae, White Bluff , and Thomas Ellis worked at researching a cure. Most of what the rest of us did was just mop up. If we could get more of our nations researching we'd hardly have to do anything at all. What do you think of kicking out, temporarily, of course, all inactive nations prior to Z=day ? They're welcome to return after.

To honor our hard working zombie warriors our region will fly CrossVegas's f!ag for one week and the researchers' flags for three days.

While it certainly would be easier on us, we don't know what kept them from logging in to research, or being here for the battle.
Maybe shelve this conversation til closer to the next Z-day? Give others time to see this post to know this may become something we do, and explain their side.

Inactive players are not really the issue. It is those that counter what the region wants to do. If the region decides to research cure and a player or two (more would be better) were to fire cure missiles, that is normally all that is needed. Some trouble maker would mess that all up by killing/promoting zombies. Those are the ones that need to be given the boot. Having a password in place would be required if those that can boot bad players cannot watch the borders. Problem is, there is no cure for dead.

Franklin and Andrew-Jackson have been MIA since Z-Day1. The same can be said for our resident Mod although he did RAC a few years ago. I thanked him which may have been a mistake since he's never done it again.

I prevent that from happening each year when I place my own password on the region several days in advance. We never have dead because CrossVegas gets here and keeps up a steady fire of cure missiles for the first couple of hours alone until backups arrive. I feel it's pretty tedious for him when some nations don't even login and so their infection numbers sky rocket. If all of us, or even 70% of us, RAC, the numbers go down and it's easier.

Several days is a good margin, just in case a player is lying in wait to cause trouble.

OK. I'll bring it up about a month in advance to give the sleepers a chance to wake up and --er-- smell the dying roses. I think I'll do it in a poll. Then we'll see whether or not they vote, and whether they'll come back if they're ejected. 😏

A belated but nonetheless warm welcome to Copperhead Road and Bubbavilles. We're glad you stopped by. Hope you enjoy your stay in the great region of Tennessee. Help yourself to complimentary drinks and cookies. ☕ 🍪🍪 ☕ 🍪🍪

Bubbavilles found out about NationStates through a coworker. His nation's name is his nickname plus "villes" and he's a Vols fan (who isn't?!).
