I'd hardly believe there exists a one-piece swimsuit that Tubbius could feasibly wear. That said, the issue does imply that you've already gone ahead and done it, so I suppose if it ever crosses Tubbius' desk, such an article of swimming attire would have to be invented - what I'm thinking of is... not particularly effable.

As per your observations from brothers in leading political positions and their differential approach to solving problems we find it amusing as usually we have found the opposite to be true, with the minor brother being the most troublesome.
And for the general feeling of being warying of fixing past mistakes for previous leadership I am afraid it is a general feeling for all head of states of governments that have ever existed and have maintained a modicum of sanity.

We also feel your pain about precision, in fact we have to discharge part of the responsability in some (not all) of the AIs because it was a major concern of mental health. It is a general concern of civilization that the most it progress the more chances has for a bizarre accident or danger to appear at the same time their capabilities. And as you have pointed at some levels that come result in an existential threat.

Certainly we are envious of being able to have a so reduced management of your country. Complexity management in a civ can be a stop from the growing or merely the existence of a nation as big as an approaching suddenly a wall in the middle of highway during rush hour.

Hence the duality between the low level society of organics and normal AIs and the post-singularity entities on the other appendage.

1) In our lange history we had our own long stretches of stoic leaders and even population by design doing the “correct” thing.

2) The stoic model and hyper competent caretaker is well known here. For example the assistant to the Vicechancellor, Mr or Mrs Akira. (Don’t ask, the Yayoi citizen bodyplan was highly androgynous and neotenous).
3) The Archeological section of the Aigania Academy of Science is highly interested in your cybercosm for comparisons with early development of our own (after some reality quakes and history rewriting some data gets inevitable lost or corrupted). Beside your location in another Old Earth timeline doubles our interest for historical research. On particular interest is the evolution of the timeline with open magic operating in the development of Old Earth nations and the survival of politics devoid of magic.
