CRI, the Salisfordian oil giant, took a beating in the stock market as panicked investors, especially CRI's Andaluzian investors, sold their stock following the allegations of the company being complicit in a massive drug-trafficking ring, as well as the loss of its oil rigs within the Andaluzian sea. CRI spokesmen urged the company's investors to remain calm, and once again denied the allegations of the company being aware of the drug trafficking. Despite this, the company's attempts to assuage its investor's concerns fell mon deaf ears, and many continued to sell their stocks, causing the stockprice to continue to decline. May 12 2022 The Salisfordian government intervenes! Following the previous allegations against CRI and the company's stock market downturn, the Salisfordian Government, CRI's largest stockholder, surprised many today as they intervened on behalf of the company. A press conference was held outside of the Palazzo Consiglio in Savotta, where spokesmen for the Salisfordian government denounced the blatant nationalization of Salisfordian-owned assets by the Andaluzian government, and further declared it a violation of the country's economic obligations as a CODECO member state. The spokesmen made it clear that the Salisfordian government would not allow this nationalization to continue to happen, and that it would take all steps necessary to ensure that its company's rightful property was returned to it. 11 May 2022 Zapatista The Creeperian National Police (PNC) launched an operation in Guazapa to shut down a cocaine safe house of Los'Sureños. At 11:00 p.m., the police initiated a raid of the safe house and opened fire at the individuals inside the house. After injuring a couple in the house and taking them into custody, the police searched the house for the entrance to the basement. After finding it, the police threw grenades into the basement and tear gas to clear the area. After 15 minutes, the police entered the basement and captured 150 lbs of cocaine and arrested two more individuals who were members of Los'Sureños. May 12, 2022 Andaluzians in the streets In recent days in Andaluzia, tensions between the PRA and the rioters have been growing. Last night, a Bicada police station was burned to the ground, causing massive damage to local buildings and various injuries among included parties. This event is not unique, following similar events primarily in Galveias and the greater Bicada area. The PRA has declined to release arrest numbers but it is estimated to be in the thousands as of May 11. We at Andaluzia Hoje recommend that for your own personal safety, you do not attend these riots. In other news, the successful capture of all oil rigs was completed two nights ago, on May 10. This also follows the first fully operational oil rig, Green Delta Ridge, for the Petróleo Nacional company. In an interview with a terminal operator at the GDR platform, Bruno Cunha Oliveira stated : “We have mostly gotten past the language barrier. Some of the boys from CRI stuck around and helped us out. We really couldn’t do a lot of this so fast without them.” It is expected that in the next few days, the next platform, the Furtado Prospect, will become operational.
