Welcome to the region!

Most people will better understand if you write in English - it's the standard language on NS.

By the way I see you both have the same flag with Frolacia, coincidence? ;)

We may continue to accept submissions several hours after the initial cutoff time, but please be sure to get your story to Gemeinschaftsland as soon as possible if you're intending to participate.
World Book and Copyright Day

Is a celebration of the joys of reading and literature. Each year since 1995, people of all races, ethnicities, and nationalities have come together to recognize the impact books have had on human culture. April 23rd was chosen by UNESCO for a very specific reason: It is the anniversary of the deaths of some of history's most influential authors, the likes of William Shakespeare, Inca Garcilaso de la Vega, and Miguel de Cervantes. Even in the internet age, it's still important to commemorate the deaths of such titanic figures, promote literacy, stand up for equal access to knowledge, and revere creativity. That is what World Book and Copyright Day is about. While April 23rd may have come and gone, is there anything more true to the writing experience than delays? In my personal experience, I'd say no.

8/10 Very close to Suralas own policies. Having a government made of the betters of the nation, via Monarchy and Nobility, is the best choice, as expecting on citizens to vote intelligently is unreliable at best. Enacting a pledge of allegiance, backed by state media and disallowance of protests instill a strong sense of national pride. Permanent marriage, and disallowing same sex joining, as well as no contraceptions or abortions safeguards traditional relationships with a focus on high birthrate, though Surala allows polygamy to allow more joinings of suitable mates so no ones progeny is left to die. Your nation has very strict and slightly overbearing control on in population, but Surala cannot fault you for that in its entirety (sometimes people need to be shown what's best for them). And capital/corporal punishment is sure to make sure the people toe the line you have set. Again I see conscription with gun control, which I think strips your nation of able fighters should they be needed, but Surala does see this is a nothing way of instill obedience within the populous. Capitalism and finally another nation that sees the untapped wealth of menial labour in the form child workers, Surala approves. And a universal health care will ensure low work place deaths. Restricting computers and Internet is a odd choice, as people will become stagnant without access to worldly knowledge, coupled with no immigration makes for a poor and unintelligent population. Nuclear power and climate treaty helps combat environmental issues, and no aircrafts spilling fuel emissions in your airspace is admirable, if slightly overkill. I'm glad to see your nation also views its right for WMDs. All in all, an extremely strong and potent policy choice for your nation. As said, slightly over controlling in aspects that Surala sees as a strain on the government, legislation and its policing force, that could be better spent elsewhere. Surala respects your nations integrity and strong hand on its population.

Surala is not impressed with a nation that steals the flag of another nation. A flag is a matter of national pride, and is made with that nations history and values. To steal the flag of Frolacia is to steal its nation identity and history. Love goes into creating a flag that speaks of its nations heart and soul.

Its enjoyable for Surala to participate is rating other nations policy choices. As Surala weighs those policies against its own, it can see what nations line-up with us on many viewpoints. Which may bear fruit to closer friendships, or create wonderful rivalries between opposing policies. Surala never seeks to push its own values upon other nations, and respects every nation s right to govern how they see fit. You are all Suralas Region-mate and equal. Regardless of the rating.

What's your opinion on democracy.

The Holy Empire of Surala

The imperium man wrote:What's your opinion on democracy.

Surala is opposed to democracy, as the people cannot always be relied upon to make intelligent, or even informed, decision. Democracy always devolves into a popularity contests, rather than political merit or national stability. So Surala rules through a monarchy and nobles. As each future ruler of Surala or its regions are taught and groomed from birth to be capable leaders, strategists and diplomats. Weaker leaders are pruned away, so should the first in-line of succession prove to be ill-fitted to ascend to power, they can be easily passed over to the next in-line. This produces a competition for the successors to better themselves in order to be granted leadership of the nation, or region.

I did not argue the Idea of democracy is usually pure and of course , it usually devolve in oppression. Dictatorship or totalitarianism is quite oppressive and restricted freedoms. Yes , democracy is a part of it. I hope it helps

That being said, capitalism is a good start to a strong nation, as Surala made the mistake early to employ socialism. But you are heading down a dangerous path allowing equal marriage rights, as Surala believes joining of same sex as counter productive, and allowing recreational drugs slows the minds and productiveness of your citizens.

Yeah I don't agree with gayness that just showed up there
