For the first time in its existence, the government of Neo-Supple Lund has officially invoked the Northern Usonean Union Defense Treaty. Citing decreased regional stability, possible Jenovachi designs on Confederation of independent colonies territory and fears of an unstable border between COIC and Tor Dutnua, the Prime Memeister has authorized the use of force to contain the Great Jenovah forces. 20,000 men have begun the short journey from Neo-Supple Lund to COIC, where they will march south into Tor Dutnua territory. While mobilization has been completed fairly quickly, it is expected that Jenovah will arrive in Tor Dutnua first, before Supple reinforcements are able to complete the trek southward. It will be up to Tor Dutnua to hold the line until the Supple Defense Forces are able to arrive in country.

Meanwhile, the Supple 2nd and 7th Fleets, each consisting of an aircraft carrier, a pair of cruisers, 3 destroyers and 5 frigates, will begin the much longer journey around the Usonean coast, in order to reach Jenovachi territory on the Usonean continent. One fleet will travel east, while the other will go west. This will take far more time then Supple troop movement to and from COIC, so it is expected that Supple naval assets will not play a significant role in the conflict until far later into the campaign.

The Supple Air Service, for its part, would begin carrying out strikes from Neo-Supple Lund proper, utilizing its longer ranged aircraft to attack Jenovachi units once they made landfall into Tor Dutnua. A great debate had taken place over whether or not to use COIC air bases in the upcoming conflict. While the shorter distance would allow for a greater use of Supple aircraft, fears over retaliatory strikes over COIC airspace had ultimately prevented NSL from utilizing them. Thus, the Supple Air Service would have to make extensive use of longer ranged aircraft, or rely on inflight refueling for some of its fighters and other smaller planes.

The Prime Memeister satat his desk, his brow furrowed in frustration. This conflict could not have come at a worse time for the Northern Usonean Union! COIC had finally begun to get back on track, as its economy recovered from years of hardship and warfare. COIC had the potential to become one of the largest agricultural producers on Usonean, possibly StrangeReal, something that would benefit Neo-Supple Lund for decades to come. As the Supple population itself increased, they would need ever increasing amounts of foodstuff to the feed the people, and while they had obtained large tracts of territory, most of it was either to mountainous or still to irradiated from the last Supple conflict to support large scale farming operations. With COIC taking on the role of the NUU's "breadbasket", such fears could be alleviated for the time being. But, all this was being put into serious jeopardy due to the recent Jenovah-Tor Dutnua war.

An influx of refugees would be guaranteed to decimate the fragile COIC economy. Already the Supple MemeExchange had gone down over 666 points last night as Jenovah grew ever closer to starting their invasion of Tor Dutnua. Serious fears over economic recession and loss of cheap agricultural products had sent the markets into a tailspin, and the common Supple citizen was starting to voice their worries over what was happening. If this conflict didn't subside soon, these economic woes would only increase, and the longer they existed, the more damage they would do to the Supple economy and the psyche of her people. NSL could not afford to let COIC suffer any more then it had. With the NUU, the fate of the two nations were now tied to each other more so then ever before!

Elwin Moose had already authorized troops to be sent into COIC toward the Tor Dutnua border. He had originally wanted to merely reinforce the COIC border, in case the Jenovachi's advanced a bit to far for their own good. But the more hawkish members of his squad had advocated for a direct intervention straight into Tor Dutnua territory. A coalition of generals, politicians and bussinessmen had beseeched him to send troops more and more south, as the farther the conflict stayed away from COIC, the safer their assets would remain. Perhaps not the purest of intentions, but they made enough sense for Moose to change his mind. He hoped the extra expenses that would be incurred would end up justified, as he was willing to sacrifice some short term economic growth for the long run.

Perhaps diplomacy could have averted this whole conflict. But the Prime Memeister seriously doubted it, as he knew the real situation down in Jenovah. His Lizard Squad! agents had kept him well informed, informed of the fact that Jenovah was losing ground in the international community. With the fall of JP and the breakup of its intelligence network codenamed SYBIL, Jenovah had lost a significant amount of standing, enough for its people to start losing faith in their own government. Lizard Squad! had done an exceptional job vilifying the Jenovachi, perhaps to well a job. Jenovah could not afford to give into a peace settlement, and the Supple people would not accept a peace with such an "evil, vile nation" as his agents and written so eloquently. It would seem that a violent solution would be the only way to end this.

Hopefully, the declining state of the Jenovachi army would allow for a quick victory. But Elwin Moose thought that was also very unlikely too...

a fleet of 184 ships was on the move, to be exact only 161 where traditional naval vessels, 8 where bulk transports, 11 where cargo vessels that had been converted into transport ships and 4 where luxury cruise ships. On board the crew of vessels had to deal with 70,000 men made up of all of the 1st and 2nd army as well as 5,000 cooks and other support staff from the territorial army.
The route being taken by admiral Halifax would have the fleet arrive in Dimension indian ecumenopolis earth in under a day from there the British would secure the 300,000 refugees and begin to move 200,000 to Mavella socialist republic while the rest would be airlifted or shipped to Chola.
General Stern went over again with his officers that they where only to fire when fired upon and that under no circumstances where they to use any heavy weaponry unless a large force attacked them, stern did not want them blasting apart some refugees with a 50 cal, it be too much paper work. the officers laugh at the joke and where dismissed. stern knew his men would be disciplined they all fought in the last war and he knew they could keep themselves in line, the ECU forces, the refugees and the god forsaken socialist where a completely different matter he just hoped they all been taught trigger discipline or wouldn't do something extremely stupid.
