this is pretty false the NSDAP was founded as a branch of a league (the Free Workers' Committee for a Good Peace, a militant nationalist organization) espousing a mixture of italian-style nationalism and occultist beliefs about germans while this initial party had anti-capitalist beliefs, i would not call it fully socialist, instead sharing more with national syndicalism's views on capitalism under hitler's reign, which started very early in their history, they collaborated directly with and even formed capitalistic entities, completely removing the possibility of them being socialist, and they didn't even call themselves the national socialists until 1920, a result of the committee of the party trying to appeal to left-wing voters despite hitler's wishes |
