Obviously we’re all socialists, but that can be narrowed down, like marxism, Leninism, Stalinism, Trotskyism, Maoism or more; My nation adopted Tiberianism, basically Leninism-Marxism but with more political freedom (but with a one-party dominated parliament) and a more efficient economic system encouraging larger output and with AI-planned economic programmes and operations. |

Manchukurun is an alternate historical worldbuilding project in the early making, for context. Officially, and in most capacities, Manchukurun is an avowedly Marxist-Leninist dictatorship of the proletariat led by the Communist Party of Manchukurun. The actual goings-on however are heavily influenced by the thought of the revolutionary leader of the nation's independence, Mantakhai (name liable to change). History (The short version of what I have planned if you believe it) After a fumbled agricultural reform based on Lysenkoist advice from the USSR, Mantakhai was pushed out of real power. However, in his absence the government saw the enfranchisement of old military doctrine and ideology that had led the country to Japanese subjugation in the first place. Using connections in the state planning bureau, Mantakhai led a movement of popular youth uprisings that undermined the right deviation in the party and led to a purge of his political rivals, and a new government formed of young Marxists under his allegiance. This dovetailed into the constitution still used in the canon year of 2045. In other peripheral eastern bloc states this would have led to an intervention, but Mantakhai's earlier leadership had seen the establishment of Soviet and PLA military bases, leading to a game of chicken over influence over the youth movement between the two surrounding socialist powers. Basically, a particularly special situation that inspired a successful cultural revolution that endured after Mantakhai's eventual death. Tl;dr Marxism-Leninism, but with distinctive (and kind of odd) economic methods, avant-garde social policy, semi-regular purges, conditional referenda, an end to consecutive terms for most positions and multiple position holding, and a legislative process kind of resembling a court with a jury. All backed by a continuing tradition of deliberately benefitting from an international tug of war between Beijing and Moscow. The official ideology of Feyrisshire is "Weijyahowrism" also known as "New High Princess (Daschi Horunryonen-schyu) Thought". It emerged as a compromise ideology bet. 2 factions of the Left that emerged in Feyrisshire during the early 20th century, the Domestic Leftists - called due to leftist traditional and indigenous Feyris thought, also known as "Ruralist Faeries" (adopting mutualism and anarchism mixed in w/ Feyris Civic Ryeifinism), and International Leftists, who adopt mainstream versions of leftism such as anarchism and Marxism - "The Anarchist Faeries of Feyrisshire", and the "Communist Party of Feyrisshire". When Feyrisshire was invaded by the USSR during 1945, the Marxist-Leninist camp won out, due to the Red Army's support, but Kristelle Yohanne Aenschein, its main theorist, had already made Weijyahowrism. However, people would soon revolt against the Communist Party of Feyrisshire and replace it with the National Weijyahowr of Faeries, the main proponent of Weijyahowrism in 1997. The National Weijyahowr of Faeries was divided into 3 factions - Ruralist Faeries - Marxists and Anarchist Faeries - and Marxist-Leninists, Maoists. The third faction won out but they had to compromise such as interpreting Feyris High Princess and Ryeifinism dialectically. Weijyahowrism was recast as the application of dialectical materialism to the material conditions of Feyrisshire. While the core basis of Weijyahowrism is Marxism-Leninism in that it accepts the majority of Marx, Lenin and Mao's framework, it differs theoretically from Marxism-Leninism and Maoism in some things: 1. Religion is not an "opium of the masses" 2. The lumpenproletariat and petty-bourgouisie can lead a socialist revolution (Main disagreement with Marxism) 3. The Cultural Revolution should be continuous, and not just a one-off event During the 1990s, under High Princess Hana Aerifyu, distinct strands of theory had also been deduced such as: In terms of praxis, Feyrisshire also have lots of differences with USSR and China: such as the retention of state religion and freedom of religion, no Communist-style state institutions, 3 Cultural Revolutions, political liberalization (multiparty democracy, universal suffrage, political freedoms, and semi-private media), Cultural liberalization (South Korean/Japanese-style state-owned entertainment industry instead of Socialist Realism ("Neo-Faerie Movement"), attempts at economic liberalization (Feyrisshire New Economic Policy) + AI computerization, "Feyrisshire Sexual Revolution" against patriarchy (LGBT+ rights, polyamory, sexual freedoms, progressive fashion and erotica - "Love and Romance Under Communism"). Another important question is to how to build a socialist DotP in a world surrounded by capitalism and imperialism after the fall of USSR and China and rise of entities such as IMF and World Bank. |
