The Anocratic empire of Bigpipstan

I managed to get some strikes in. Though i left because N-day doesn't interest me. I decided to go with Ponies of the apocalypse instead of Nuclear rainbooms, because it seemed more appropriate.

You have your point.

The Principality of Trotterdam

Anyone here wanna retake our original home region of Pony Lands? It's actually possible now.

The Laser-Wielding Commune of Intergalactic Penguins

I'm actively keen to do so! (Even though I'll never regain the residency streak...) What would I need to do?

The Principality of Trotterdam

Just move into the region and endorse Princess Luna!

If you need to know the password, anyone who is currently in the region can telegram it to you. The Candy Of Bottles probably can too, being the one who originally set it.

It might be worthwhile to discuss who we want to give the reins to, as well. Are we okay with Princess Luna permanently being in charge? Does Princess Luna want to be in charge? Should we put it to democratic vote?

The Laser-Wielding Commune of Intergalactic Penguins

Honestly I'd want to know we had a plan to make it secure before I moved back. Happy for Princess Luna to take responsibility or Trotterdam or even to step up myself, but I'd want there to be *a* plan.

The Principality of Shimmering Equestria

I've installed Candy of Bottles as successor here, in the interim.

The Pony Principality of Princess Luna

I'd ask for a few endorsements so we can go ahead and do this, as to the plan, I'd be quite happy to remain and then we could consider re-merging the regions, although I am quite fond of Pony Realms now.

I'm always in favour of democracy, although it may take some activity commitment if we wanted to use anything apart from the WA route.

Read the news post.

If you can't be bothered with that and want the tl;dr version, the plan is:
1. Endorse Princess Luna as delegate.
2. Once in the delegate position, Princess Luna initiates the process to instate a governor.
3. Wait 14 days.
4. Princess Luna is now governor.
5. If desired, Princess Luna can appoint someone else (not necessarily a WA nation) as successor and then abdicate.
6. Maybe rename the "Governor" position to something more thematic, like "Princess".

Actually, there might be a slight complication. Now that I look closely, I'm not sure how a region that's governorless due to disappearance rather than deliberate choice functions. It may be necessary to first revoke the governor position, wait 14 days for that process to finish, then reinstate the governor position, and wait another 14 days for that process to finish. With how new this feature is, I doubt anyone is really sure, so the best way to find out is to just try it. Step 1 remains the same no matter what.

As our region's long-standing poll officer, I'd be happy to handle any votes that need doing, but we should probably discuss our goals before jumping into a vote.

I'm afraid I don't have the password anymore- I had it in a .txt file on my old laptop, and apparently I never backed it up anywhere before I spilled that darn soup...

The Sunshine Revolution of Ponies Of The Apocalypse

I'm up to help retake it.

In appreciation for opening our embassy, breakfast is on us:

**Sets up a table of muffins, butter, jam, pancakes, maple syrup, bacon, ham, scrambled eggs, strawberries, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and Hershey's kisses**

Intergalactic Penguins and Lunar rain

The Pony Principality of Princess Luna

I have the password, sending it over to Penguins. Ponies of the Apocalypse, you'd need to be a WA member, but I think we'll get enough volunteers in house, though the support is welcome.

Equestria is as good as over. Some rouge official starting splitting the region up so we moved our nation here. I hope to be more useful here than I was over there.

Done and done :) Just need to make sure that people follow up now - because this only works we don't still get stranded over two regions!

Well, there is the question of what to do with this region once Pony Lands is ready for people to move back into en mass. Well over a year and a half of history here now.

Cascotlya

So we are retaking Pony Lands?

The process is beginning- Princess Luna should become delegate there at the next update.

I think we should just switch it over so that Shimmering Equestria stays Governor here and we keep this region on the back burner.

The Scientific Collectives of Frenequesta

I’m staying. I’m no longer in the WA so it’s a bit useless, and my nation is supposed to be a bit isolated from the rest of the pony world anyway.

Lunar rain

We're a bit in the dark on what to do since we just got here. Our citizens are wondering if we should stay or wait it out to see if we'll be granted access into Pony Lands. I'm up to my neck in letters of concern and multiple families who don't wanna go through the process of moving again.

They're going to be holding a public forum and then eventually a vote on if we should stay here or wait to go to Pony Lands. If I may ask, what should I tell these ponies? Personally I wouldn't mind moving us to Pony Lands but if we need to stay we will.

Honestly, it's a little unclear what is going to happen to this region. Pony Lands should be ready to have its password lifted in about four weeks- it needs to transfer to a Frontier and back to get Princess Luna into the Governor position, two weeks each way. The original founder, Magical equestria, CTE'd a little more than a year and a half ago- not for the first time, but apparently for the last. I'd always throw up a password as a security measure until they got back, but they never did this time. Ultimately it may not matter all that much outside of events such as Z-day, as an Embassy exists between the two regions and both allow any nation from a region with an Embassy to post in their RMB, meaning communication, and even roleplay for those so inclined to do it here instead of the forums, should be quite easy. Of course there is also the matter of needing to be in the same region to endorse another WA member...

The Principality of Trotterdam

In theory, it's better to keep conversations to one RMB instead of splitting them across two, to reduce the effort of keeping track of both of them and make it less likely that people will overlook discussions they might be interested in. In practice, it's far too late for that, since we already have two RMBs with their own histories, and both of them have been around long enough to have accumulated some archived conversations that people might not want to lose.

I think that the Pony Lands RMB probably has more significant history, both due to the number of years it's been active, and due to it existing back when the show was actually still running, when the community was obviously more active than it is now. As such, I'd prefer to bring everything back to Pony Lands, and let Pony Realms go silent once the current revival is completed. However, I am well-accustomed to other people disagreeing with me, and that is of course your right.

In any case we'd best complete the changeover first, before discussing our plans for the future. It'll be easier to convince people to rejoin Pony Lands once we can safely remove the password protection.

The Principality of Trotterdam

Pony Lands is now open!

Everyone who has a stake in the future of the region is encouraged to move there and join the discussion. Of course, you can still post through the embassy, but opinions from outside the region will not be counted in any official polls.
