The Poppy Accords
Preamble
The West Pacific and The Leftist Assembly (hereafter referred to as “the signatories”), in recognition and culmination of our many years of friendship and intermingled history, and looking to produce many more, hereby agree to the following:

Section I – Mutual Recognition
The Leftist Assembly recognizes The West Pacific, represented by Delegate Varanius and his successors, as established under the Manners of Governance of The West Pacific. TLA will not recognize any government of TWP other than that of Varanius and his chosen successors.
The West Pacific recognises The Leftist Assembly, represented only by the incumbent Secretary and their successors, as established under the Constitution and Code of Laws of The Leftist Assembly.
Section II – Mutual Defense
The signatories shall not engage in any direct hostilities towards each other or their allies.
Any ally undertaking direct action against a signatory or their allies shall be excluded from the above clause.
Participation on opposing sides of a military engagement does not necessarily constitute hostilities.
Section III - Other
The signatories will endeavor to support the World Assembly initiatives of the other where possible and practical within the bounds of extant agreements.
The signatories will endeavor to engage in joint cultural festivities and exchanges.
Section IV – Ratification and Departure
This treaty will come into effect upon ratification by both signatories through the appropriate internal mechanisms.
This treaty may be amended through approval by the agreement of both signatories’ appropriate internal mechanisms.
The signatories commit to attempting all available diplomatic remedies before terminating this agreement, and to notify the other signatory of termination before publishing any official statements.
