WADP: Guaranteed Proposal Sponsorship

Preface

The amount of people who want to write WA proposals is staggering. TNP in particular, owing to our size and heavy involvement in the WA, has a large amount of newcomers who submit proposals without knowing much about the rules or conventions of the institution. We generally try to support native authors as much as we can, but if you want to write a proposal, whether it be in the General Assembly or Security Council, you need to do it the right way. This is where Guaranteed Sponsorship comes in.

Program

As part of the World Assembly Development Program, Keepers of the North and members of the LinkNorth Pacific Army qualify for a program of guaranteed support in the writing process and when their proposal gets to vote. The Ministry of World Assembly Affairs is willing to help you out directly in refining your proposal to be of adequate quality, but there are still a couple of basic steps you need to follow to qualify:

  1. Pick an appropriate topic. The Ministry can help you out with this, but some topics are basically off-limits, including repeals of allied proposals.

  2. Don't use AI. At all. If you want to write a WA proposal you will either do it using your own intellectual capacity or TNP is voting against.

  3. Read the rules. This should be obvious, and yet many people don't do it. Make sure what you're writing is written in the proper format and doesn't break any obvious rules. The current rules for both the General Assembly and Security Council are pinned in their respective forum threads.

  4. Put in the basic work. Do some research on your topic and do your best to write the key parts as a proposal. It doesn't need to start out perfect, but we aren't in the business of giving out unearned freebies.

To qualify, you can send a telegram to Minister of World Assembly Affairs Picairn with a link to your proposal briefly explaining your case. The Ministry will help you refine the proposal to be presentable for submission, and Guaranteed Sponsorship means the delegate will automatically vote in favour without needing a forumside voting thread. However, the Ministry reserves the right to dictate additional terms for this support.

Jointly sponsored by the Delegate and Security Council of The North Pacific.
