An ordinary day in Hillsville.
Birds chirping, a grandmother's drinking tea, a cool breeze hits. Its Spring. Its not too hot that you'll burn to death and get fried like a KFC chicken, neither it's too cold that you will become a block of ice in cold. Leo and Maya, two siblings, are getting ready for school.

■ Leo: Maya, why didn't you wake me up, you knew we don't have a holiday today, its tomorrow idiot!
■ Maya: I thought it was your holiday too! How could I know we have school today?
■ Leo: By having a brain, duh.
■ Maya: What did you just say Leo-
"You have all day to fight, atleast reach school first." Says Leo's mom as she puts the PB&J sandwiches on the plate. Leo grabbed his and ran out to get to school on his cycle. "IM GONNA BE FIRST TO REACH," Leo teased Maya. "HEY, ITS ME" Maya said as he ran out with her mouth stuffed with the sandwich.
"These two.." said Leo's mom
Leo reached school, but he didnt see Maya anywhere. Leo kept looking at the hallway every time it's wooden floor creaked, expecting Maya’s messy hair and a sarcastic "told you I'd make it" look. But the seats stayed filled with people who weren't her. The bell for the final period rang, and the silence where her voice should have been felt heavier than his backpack.
Back at home, Leo's mom was at home reading the news. His Dad had left for his work at the college as the teacher. Then, she heard the telephone ringing. She immediately ran out of the door, running towards the hospital. The neighbours notice her. "Mrs. ■■■■■ , where are you going so hurriedly?"
She didn't respond. She looked worried.
Leo reaches home, Maya's bicycle, nowhere to be seen. He rushes in. It's silent. Not a speck of the noise he usually heard. "Maya? Mom? Anyone home? I won?"
No response.
He notices a note on the table.
Leo, reach the hospital near our house. Maya.. Just come quick.

Leo rushes out of home, and rides his bicycle towards the hospital. At the hospital, he asks which room Maya ■■■■■ is in. She says Room 103. It was the 3rd room from left of tne 1st floor. He rushed up the stairs. But it was too late.
While heading to school, Maya had got hit by a Volkswagen car with no license plate. The neighbours noticed her on the road bleeding and called the ambulance. She was known by the doctors because she was born at that hospital. Unfortunately, she had died from blood shortage from the bleeding. The only thing that Leo had left of her, was a note, in which was written "If I am first to school, I get your snacks!"
They head out of the hospital.
Leo: All my fault-
At the end, Leo is hit with a bike, leading to his death aswell.
Hallo! I literally have no experience on writing stories, I just saw some in Arts & Fiction and thought "Hmmm... could i do this?". Sorry if its bad, Im new to this :P
