this website to count the words)Seeing the growth of neighboring German states, the Emperor raised an impressive army of 70,000 soldiers, comprising 40,000 Austrians, 20,000 Hungarians, and approximately 10,000 Polish mercenaries. With determination, he declared war on the Czech state. After a brief yet intense 50-day period, the Czech Republic fell victim to the might of the Emperor's forces. The army surged into Prague, which faced utter devastation as they burned it to the ground. Following this success, a telegram was dispatched to Croatia and Bosnia, extending an offer for reunification with the old empire to prevent any further conflict and to restore a sense of harmony reminiscent of days gone by (a historical reference to the turmoil post-WWI). Croatia, seeking stability, agreed to the terms but demanded certain privileges. Conversely, Bosnia and Herzegovina stood firm, asserting, "We are an independent state and do not wish to reintegrate into such an authoritarian empire." Thus, Bosnia and Herzegovina became the next target of the Emperor's ambitions.
In the telegram, the contents read: "Honourable leaders of Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, our desire is to reunite this old empire for the sake of unity, defense, and a mutual desire for diplomacy, so that we might live harmoniously as we did before this catastrophic war. Our economy is thriving, drawing strength from the past. The Emperor, fondly reminiscing about that time, has decreed that all political figures don white wigs as a cultural tradition (for he bears a likeness to Mozart). Presently, Vienna stands as the cultural and trade hub of Europe, with 97% of its buildings restored from the extensive damage suffered during WWI."
Also, a telegram was sent to Germany proposing an alliance aimed at reconstructing their former power. Hope blossomed as they anticipated a favorable agreement.
