The Empire of Simeonia!

The Galactic Empire of Simeonia was the first state created in Andarios by Simeon Magnus and extending by two of the four continents of Andarios. Settlers of European, North American, South American, African and an Asian minority had settled on the continents of Alanthos and Andros since the beginning of the XXX century. By the middle of the century two great federations had been created: the Union of Free Republics of Alanthos (UFRA) and the United Federation of Andros (UFA). The two forces will enter into a conflict in 2990, thus beginning the so-called War of the Federations. In 3040 the UFA forces won the conflict and the continent of Alanthos was conquered and the UFRA dissolved. The United Federation of Alanthos and Andros (UFAA) was born. Its first leader was Friedrich von Krauz who had commanded UFA forces in the last phase of the war. Friedrich will lead the new Federation until his death in 3054. But given the size of the federation territory there were problems with several regions farther from the capital that did not feel represented in the Federal Assembly. In 3060, a small territory in the north of Andros, Simeonia proclaimed independence. The leader of the revolt was Ian Wellington Alleister. The UFAA sent troops to suppress the revolt but suffered military a great defeat in 3062. Because of this the Independent Republic of Simeonia (IRS) was recognized, the armed forces of UFAA saw their credibility affected and President John Andrew Howard, who succeeded von Krauz, was dismissed from office. He was succeded by the chanceler Zigmund Rickard Mortimer. In 3064 the president Zigmund invited Ian to chancellor of the UFAA thus seeking to reintegrate Simeonia in the federation. Ian on the other hand motivated by his ambition accepted and the IRS returned to be part of the federation although it maintained a wide autonomy. But both Ian and Mortimer were killed in an attack in 3066. Marshal Francisco da Cruz, seizing the chaos and emptiness of power, led a coup d'état and assumed the government of the federation. In Simeonia the banner of resistance was erected by Ivan Solarov who had served as prime minister since 3064 after Ian became UFAA's chancellor. In 3070 the various factions opposed to the government of Francisco da Cruz recognized him as leader and proclaimed the Free Republic of North Andros (FRNA). In 3072 rebels in Alanthos again proclaimed independence and the UFRA was reinstated. In 3078, with a serious internal crisis due to the wars of the government of Francisco da Cruz, the military revolted and deposed him, Francisco da Cruz was publicly executed by firing squad. It succeded him the admiral Charles Dubois that negotiated the peace with the rebels. In 3080 Ivan was declared leader of the Free Republic of Andros (FRA) and Dubois moved away of the power, thus the UFAA came to an end. In 3090 the Free Republic of Andros (FRA) collapsed with the assassination of Ivan and the Prime Minister of Simeonia, Simeon Baykhal seized the power in the FRA. In 3091 the FRA and the IRS merged and became the Great Republic of Simeonia (GRS). Simeon changed is surname to Magnus shortly after. In 3095 the war began between GRS and URA, being called the second federation war, this conflict came to an end in 3114 with the GRS victory. In 3120 Simeon became emperor after a referendum to transform the GRS into the Galactic Empire of Simeonia (GES). In 3435 the emperor and the imperial family were decimated in battle. The leader of Seomis who descended from the founder sent one of his sons to become the new emperor. This dynastic substitution has never been well accepted by large segments of the population and there are movements presently advocating the abolition of the Empire and the creation of a Republic. But the imperial elites despite not appreciating the control of Seomis over Symeonia remain alongside the emperor as they do not wish to lose their privileges in addition to owning million dollar deals in Seomis, Andarios and other planets, making them the elite of the Imperial Galactic Republic of Andarios.
