Founding of Franchina - Part 1

After the great exodus of NationStates 2, the founding history of Franchina has been lost to time. What we have managed to gleam from past records was that Franchina was founded by Maopoleon the first, a progressively minded military genius that provided a unifying force that brought together the scattered lowlands, the eastern cities, and the southern shores from his seat of power in Old Beiris, finally creating Franchina in the mid aughts.

The growth of Franchina was slow at first, as the many different cultures of different parts of the new minted country. The north had yet to be conquered into the country, and the army was still ravaged from the large amount of battles that had taken place prior to the founding of the country. The unification process of the trained Maopoleon specials with the various militias and war hordes that had made up the fighting force of the south shores and eastern cities was slow at best, with the Maopoleon generals struggling to incorporate the groups together. Meanwhile, the lowlands hillsman and tribal warriors were still staging their form of guerrilla warfare, picking off trained Maopoleon solders whenever possible.
