Gold is, as BBD said, a very useful metal. A lot of electronics have important components made of gold, for example. Gold, like anything else, does not have objective, intrinsic value, but it's altogether wrong to say that it's worth what it is for no good reason. |
The Allied Nation of Infinite Star Yes I admit gold quite useful in modern day. What I am argue about is the ancient people value. Then again, we might not know other gold usefulness if ancient people not worship gold like we worship money today. So I yield in this argument. |
The Snarky Solar Observer of Bhang Bhang Duc Try running your smartphone without it. Good grief some people have no idea how the modern world works. I explained why, ease of extraction, ease of working, didn’t corrode and was pretty. And yes we would know its usefulness today. I really hope that neither of you are thinking of a career in engineering. Malviet, Podium, Zoran, Nas Crustium, and 3 othersWillow Gate, Infinite Star, and Mounttopia |

The Nation of Independent Republic of Boldonia Frost in any place that isn't cold all year. I live in the American South so when a big rain storm came through, which is pretty usual, it was fine until it got really cold and all the water froze. This made pretty much every tree branch in the city snap from all the weight and because we're stupid and have our power lines strung on vulnerable poles across the entire city, 99% of the entire city was without power for week. I can get why frost exists up north in say Canada, but in the South, why must it exist. Malviet, Podium, Giovanniland, and Pahmeldyrda |
The Nation of Independent Republic of Boldonia So in case you didn't know we have a pretty strict policy on translation, so you have to either type in English or translate to English. And secondly, I'm not Zoran, and this is all hypothetical. This isn't really supposed to be realistic or scientifically accurate, but instead fun and thoughtful. This isn't supposed to be an attack on you but just know we have rules. Edit: Translation Malviet, Podium, Giovanniland, Zoran, and 1 otherInfinite Star |
