Probably the "Percy Jackson" series and all the HoO and ToA stuff as well, but I also love the "Legend" series by Marie Lu a lot and the "Want" dilogy by Cindy Pon! I recommend the latter two for those who like sci-fi/dystopia.
I’ve heard of Percy Jackson but I’ve never read it - however, I have read the Legend series and it’s really good! I’ve never heard of the “Want” series - I’ll have to look it up! :>

You and your friend, Aurora, are sitting on the plane, watching the view. The lull of the engine makes you want to fall asleep, but you’re not tired. You pick up your orange juice and start drinking it. Suddenly, Aurora cries out. “Look, there’s Brantanaria!” You look at her with confusion. “You know, Brantanaria? Home of the bonking geese?” You stare at her. Aurora laughs and shakes her head. “Brantanaria is full of geese, most of which carry long bats. If you upset them, they bonk you with their bats and take you away. I hear they’re very aggressive. Would be a shame if we landed there!” She chuckles. Suddenly, the plane shakes. Gasps can be heard all around you. The intercom crackles on. “Ladies and gentlemen, we uh… seem to have an emergency. We’ll be having an emergency landing soo-” Suddenly, everything fades to black. You wake up on a beach, and all around you is the ocean. You rub your eyes and realize the only thing around you are Aurora, the ocean, and the trees behind you. You get up and wander around, wondering where you are. You start walking to the ocean, when you hear Aurora stir. “Where are we?” Aurora asks. “I don’t know,” you respond. She gets up and walks towards you. “We should go into the island! Maybe we’ll find something else there.” You start walking into the dense forest of the island. You can hear birds chirping all around you. Suddenly, you hear a rustling sound. You quickly turn around and see what faces you. Is that… a goose with a baseball bat?
You have two options: do you run away, and face being chased, or do you stay where you are and try talking to it? Whichever option gets more votes will be the path we take.
