The Rijykiroug, or simply "Uvalor", "Rijkas", or "the Rijk State", is an island confederation of six republics located in The South Pacific. With a population of around 4.02 million people, the Rijk state is pretty sparce for it's size. The largest and most important city to the country is Uval, hence where it got it's name. Uval is the country's capital, and the 2020s incorporation of Norreykpolder (formerly Nor'rijkpolder) is under Rijk control. The port of Uval is one of largest trading hubs. The country is famous for it's golden beaches and it's shear amount of islands (approximately 19,875!). On average, the temperature of the country can get to 0°C for most of the year, and on occasion can get up to 10°C. The Rijk State is a very young nation, only being created and gaining independence in 2002. For almost six centuries, the country was an autonomous province of The New Dacians. That was until 2001, when a referendum was held in the region, deciding on whether it should be independent or remain an autonomous region of The New Dacians. In an overwhelming change, 91% of the population voted in favor of independence. The New Dacians recognized the new nations and deemed their referendum valid. And thus, the six republics of Yugoalizstokiyy, Tsentral, Zapad, Norreykpolder, Riyiki, and Leykerden were created. The next year, the six republics formed a political union, and soon a full-fledged merge which birthed the Rijykiroug and the Rijk State. The Rijk State carries right-leaning libertarianism, with policies such as a drug ban, divorce ban, same-sex marriage, a climate treaty, and a smoking prohibition. Table of Contents 1. Economy Etymology Rijk is the term for the native peoples living in the area that is known as Uvalor. The name was given to them by TSPians who, after seeing the prosperity of the people, called them "Rijk" which is Fransk/Dutch for "wealthy." In the late 14th century, Paltorina, a medieval civilization, invaded much of the mainland rivershed and Rijkas Offshore Archipelago. During this time, slavery was enforced as the country had a massive cotton monopoly. Eventually, Paltorina evolved into the Empire of The New Dacians. For almost 4 centuries, the cotton industry would thrive, until a massive flood in the 18th century devastated the cotton fields. As a result, the empire began to rapidly decline, as slave revolts and independence movements began to pop up. Within years, the empire had abandoned all of it's colonies in favor of domestic expansion. The only region not to leave was Rijkas. For two more centuries, Rijkas would server many purposes to The New Dacians, and even served as the "Final Stronghold", where King Michael was forced into refuge there, after a communist revolt came and went. Two decades later, the six republics making up Rijkas declared their independence in 2001. Rijkas was soon created by five of the six republics 2002, after a valid referendum was passed. In 2020, they annexed Norreykpolder, the 6th and final republic. Demographic Population Religion Type of Government and Leader The reigning president of the country is Viktor Aleksandrov Fedorov. As stated by the Magna Carta, the president is not above the law, and the chancellor in limited in terms of political power. Following a Rijykiroug coup on June 3, 2022, Aleksandrov Fedorov was put into power via council agreement, and following a legal Rijykiroug Standard in June 2022, he was elected to be president. The executive power in the Rijk State is invested in the President, with very limited going to the parliament, the Grande Treize. The cabinet is usually consisted of 13 head members. The head of government is the President of the Rijykiroug, and he/she is the highest of ranks, having the ability to rule out laws and policies proposed by Parliament. Viktor Aleksandrov Fedorov has been in power since June 3, 2022. Foreign Relations The Rijk State has an extremely prosperous economy. Since the late 20th century, science and technology products have led the nation's economy, along with agriculture in Norreykpolder. Other major industries include tourism, book publishing, retail, insurance, etc. The country is one of the leading trade countries in The South Pacific. The port of Uval, in fact, receives on average more ships than other powerful countries like Somurias and Nivosea. Agriculture Uvalor is known for it's spices, lychees, oranges, and it's rather famous "saprus" fruit. Energy Output
