The Resurrection of Proctethia

Western fardelshufflestein wrote:Proctethia seems to be salty about the loss of a certain set of colonies....
To be fair, said colonies yeeted 342 boxes of tea into the harbor.

No, I'm perfectly fine with that. The British Empire did horrible things, and if people want independence, they deserve it.

By knock-off Europeans, I meant that since - in my knowledge - the Americans were just colonists wanting fairness.
The culture of Americans - as far as I know - is rather similar to West-European, or in particular, British - for obvious reasons.

I don't really know what the native culture is like, I expect it is similar to American, but a bit different considering they did have to deal with opression from colonists, nations, and America for hundreds of years.

I do know that the natives did cross a land bridge from East-Russia, but that was 20,000(?) years ago, so I doubt European culture had developed much, and the native-Americans would be away from it (European culture) for thousands of years.

I also realise that various races outside of Europe with differenct culture have migrated to America. However, I wouldn't expect too much change to the culture, even if the ethnicity is changing.

So, I think I meant culturally European Knock-Offs, not all-rounders.

Hey, I may be wrong, I don't mind. Nobody is perfect, and it is good to make mistakes, as they help teach you. Granted, sometimes mistakes are more embarassing, and they only help you avoid people, and be depressed, so I might not be as right as I think on this topic either.

Midwest is different then the North, Southern culture is distinctly different then the West. I’m not even going to waste my time explaining it to you, maybe you should put a little more thought into it.

That's like an English person complaining that people never bother to distinguish the West Country from the Midlands from East Anglia when they're clearly worlds of difference from each other. I mean... yes, they're different, but you sound a bit ridiculous from a foreigner's perspective complaining about that when confronted with the question of what England's overall culture is like. In the grand scheme of things, they're all pretty darn English.

Proctethia: Yes, America is or at least was loosely European knock-off. But the intervening two and a half centuries have done quite a bit to establish a distinct culture. It's more accurate to say that American culture is generally Western than to say that it is specifically European. It's as European in nature as Brazilian culture is European.

I win, darling. Your melds couldn't meddle with the strong metal of my victory, an event that will surely go down wrong in history. You know how they can be, those historical authors, swayed to change the story by the state of your coffers. I noticed that you took quite a bit of cash from my colonial connections, exceptions, surely, to try and make a lovely selection. A new gift, perhaps, for me to derive pleasure from? A new dress, perhaps, where you'd have to measure from my head to my toes, and everything in between, I see through this plot, this hapless smokescreen! Unlike what you may think there are no folds to be seen, lumps of excess flesh spilling out of the seams. I maintain my figure literally every day, abstaining from my greatest joys brought about by wealth and partaking in the latest health crazes. It amazes me to see these younger women walking down the street, the most exercise they've time to complete, rustling their bustling skirts no more, hustling to complete a legacy by climbing the corporate ladder, between their life and work they choose to choose the latter, getting chewed up and spit out twenty years later like she doesn't matter. Why is there never any sympathy for the devil? Who among us ever thought the playing field was level? We make our choices, swayed by the voices of reason and illogical fantasies, the dreams we dream to seize, chasing after them season after season. Time slips by and we don't take notice, blinded by the illusions of a future that can never be, seduced by the sultry tones of deceitful destiny. So take a seat and listen, think, ruminate on the latest bit of knowledge I got to drop.

Stop.

And again, my lacklustre lyrical side has come forth. It doesn't read as well as it sounds when given the proper rhythm of how I spoke it to myself when writing, unfortunately, though that doesn't say much.

#Amerion4SupremeLeader

Take a drink and in a blink you won't be able to think, toxic poison coursing through your veins taking away your pains, your worries, your wants, aside from just one . . . let's have more to have more fun! A compulsion for consumption can be quite catastrophic, every night lost as you get tossed, another gulp another swallow, hollowing you out inside, the burning keeping your mind from churning . . . the things you had to do. A biscuit lord unlike any other, a biscuit lord who killed his brother. His friend. His wife. Snuffing each life with a callous disregard, seeking to make his life less hard. Every death brought his profits higher and higher, their bodies laid down under the cathedral's spire, they'd conspire, you see, he told his own mind: I had to do what I did or they'd leave me behind. And so he goes on, by day a biscuit success, his nights reduced to a blurry mess.

Oh, not again . . . I can't seem to make a proper post without the need for rhythmic style, the form, the function, all a perfect storm of overly verbose verbal overflow, influenced still by that lovely little show. Oh no. I can't stop, it just goes on and on, every new though brings a word, my mental spawn.

Once more, I must note, it works much better when spoken in a rapid style, with crests and troughs of energy, just try and do it, then you'll see.

My intention in the invention of this notion was limited as usual until 073 039 109 032 080 111 112 112 121 spun around and said that my bars were on par with the worst in the game that I thought their propagation was good use of my fame, so I continue, cross-stitching words into an amalgamation of information, making lame rhymes and abusing my good name.

Erm . . . word.

The Northern ones are always talking into their cellular devices and angrily shouting for lox or something.

The Southerners all live on gorgeous farms and start wars they can't win.

The Midwesterners are too good at ironing.

The Westerners live in deserts and shoot each other for bounties.

Also, I enjoy how your country is so large that they had to divide the West into different parts.

"That's the North, that's the South, this is the West . . ."

"What's that to the west of it?"

"Um. This is the . . . Mid-west, that's the West . . . "

Also, why is there no East? Did you run out of East when assigning regions?

Yes, I remember that there is something in the LC election law that states the current LC must set a date for the elections to begin, as long as it’s by the end of the month.

That law has been confusing me, considering the LC hasn't called it in either of the LC elections I've lived through. :P

Do the LC have to agree on a date? Or can one LC just call the elections (as long as it's in the correct month)?

There's a difference between chatting and actually disturbing the peace or breaking the rules. A proper LC member would know!

LC members should be encouraging activity on the RMB! Not suppressing every other message!
